this isnt so much a cool website. but does anybody know if you can retrieve your library if somebody says puts them all in the recycle bin and then throws them away? because thats what my brother did to my itunes library. didnt say anything so i hooked up my ipod and was surprised to see it not only updated to no songs but also erased all the songs that were on it. any help would be appreciated.

there are different ways you can get them back, although you probably wont want to pay for a recovery program. If you havent download anything or changed anything on your comp that you might need, I guess the easiest way would be to do a full system restore back to the day before he deleted them

go to accessories, then system tools, system restore should be in there - you should get a calendar with different restore points. remember, if you have downloaded anything since then you may want to burn it to a disk first

theyre not completed deleted on a pc either until the pc needs the space but its a bitch to find and restore them

Yeah I can just imaging on my mac it just 4 clicks away Hard drive, Music, itunes folder, then itunes music folder and there they are.

i had them all saved on external hard drive and i found them, i think in itunes library mpeg4 file. thaks for all the help.

Your only trashing it from itunes but they are still in the HD. BUT now if you go into the HD, music, itunes folder, then itunes music folder then trash that, then my friend your FUCKED. I keep all my music backed up also on an external HD.

i got all my songs to appear on itunes spent but it wont play the songs because it cant find the orginal files. so i guess i am fucked.

youre going to have to redirect each file back to the actual mp3 for them to play through itunes, unless you only saved the playlists, then youre fucked. but if you have the mp3s somewhere and the playlists are showing in itunes they should update to your ipod
