How is it that I OWE 700 bucks? I always get something back, however measly
it may be. It's still something. I did cash in about 10,000 in stock. Do they really

I feel your pain. Had my eyes on a new laptop, figured I'd use my refund. Couldn't believe my eyes when filing my taxes on TaxAct and found out I owe $600. I've never underpaid my taxes in my life.

But don't shoot the messenger. It's not the tax prep software, it's the IRS... or income taxes in general.

when you owe that much it might be worth it to go to an accountant to find some deductions that you may have missed...
