No, no... The Midnight Rider won but not in the way you might think.

Let' see...a quick summary. Dave and the Midnight Rider paired with 2 professionals in a tag team match. They mixed it up a bit, with some Roberto involvement as well. Then the Midnight Rider knocks out Dave and drags him to the center of the ring, jumping on him from the top rope. Fez is screaming the whole time, "That's not the real Rider!!!!" And of course Ron is replying, "Sure it is!" The Midnight Rider and his partner proceed to pummel Dave's partner, "Genesis," and rip and stomp Roberto to shreds.
Then the real Midnight Rider came and took out the fake Rider and his wrestling partner; taking a guitar signed by Bob Dylan and smashing it over the fake Rider's head. The fake Rider was unmasked to be Danny Doring. It turns out the whole night was hosted by fake Ron who was in cahoots with Doring. The real Ron returned at the last moment.

Done in hilarious, true-blue, televised wrestling fashion while Anthony, Ron, Fez, and Big-A commented.

Fucking tremendous show and I'm glad it was my first live event.

Since the Midnight Rider unmasked the Midnight Rider, who's the producer? The Rider was supposed to pin Dave, or Dave unmaske the Rider, and neither happened. I can't wait for Monday's shows!

Fucking way up there in terms favorite events. Holy shit was yesterday an amazing time.

From just the opening and seeing the ring, you can tell it was just going to be an insane night. From the music, to Ron and Fez commenting on everything, the guest appearance by Anthony, the crowd being so into it, the wrestling matches that happened, it was just amazing. I met so many people and saw a lot of old faces. Damn was it cool. I’m so happy that everyone was into it. Tazz making a small appearance was great too. I seriously can’t just say everything cause it was so off the hook. I had two favorite parts, one was seeing It Makes Me Fez live, and the other was the Black Earl song from Brother Joe that just kind of happened. Singing along to both of those with the entire Hard Rock was so much fun.

The main event was something I had never seen in my life.

Basically, for those who weren’t there, here’s what happened. It was Dave and a real wrestling partner Genesis, against another real wrestler and the “Midnight Rider”. Dave brought out Roberto, where Roberto was giving him ‘advice’. Started off being a regular wrestling match, with Dave even getting a tag in and doing a couple arm breakers. Eventually, Dave got tagged in and was clobbered by the “Midnight Rider” and his partner, receiving a powerslam and a leg drop from the top rope. Then, the two guys POWERBOMBED ROBERTO! Breaking him into pieces. Ronnie B caught his head, showed it to Fez, and Fez started screaming (hilarious). Dave runs out of the ring cause he wants to take care of Roberto. So now Genesis is being double teamed by the two other guys. Then we hear the familiar music, and the REAL Midnight Rider shows up. He starts taking down the two guys with clotheslines and shoulder blocks. Genesis gets up and starts fighting the other tag team partner outside the ring. The Midnight Rider grabs an autographed Bob Dylan guitar, and gives the “Midnight Rider” an El Kabong (guitar shot). The Midnight Rider pins the “Midnight Rider” and wins. We get the official unmasking, and Danny Doring (old ECW wrestler) is under the “Midnight Rider”. Midnight Rider and Genesis celebrate, as we come to a close.

It was so… wrestling-esce if you know what I mean. I loved it. I was laughing my ass off, cheering and screaming. Oh man how much fun it was. Anthony, Ron, Fez, and Big A commentating was hilarious. They should call pro wrestling. Holy damn was it up there in terms of my favorite things ever at a live event.

Big thanks to Mikeyboy for the email confirmation (worked just as well as a ticket) and getting everything together. Your work is incredible and incomparable. HUGE thanks to the one and only Al Dukes. Al talked to some people at the Hard Rock to help get me in. Couldn’t have gotten in without you (literally); Dukes fan forever.

It had been a busy week for me and by Fri I was pretty shot, but I still had a great time. It was fun hanging with everyone. The whole night was a lot of fun. Even the wait online outside was entertaining thanks to Lil On Cam breaking everyone's balls that walked by. It was great hanging with you as well Buster. Dawn and Elmo were fun to be around as always, and Happy Typing Girl kept my gloves in her bag to keep me from losing them. What a good egg. The show was great too. I can't wait for the next live event.

I left the after party pretty buzzed, walked to Penn station and took the 12:37 home to NJ. I got in a little before 2AM, asleep by 2:30 or so.....and woken up @ 7AM red eyed and hung over by delivery men that I was hoping wouldn't show up until the afternoon. It was still worth it.
