I love the hypocrisy of Andy Reid....a player shows the slightest bit of "being a bad seed" and the player is gone...meanwhile his own kids living in his own house act like they're Tank Johnson...yes they are grown adults...yes Andy Reid can't be held responsible for his kid's actions...BUT....when you are trying to be holier then thou...or at the very least coming across as being holier then thou....you can't have this shit happen....

it's no different then when a politician's kid fucks up and people get up in arms over that...public figures who proclaim to be all about the rules and doing things the right way.....you just expect his own kids to do the right things

One is work one is real life. You can kick employees out and not care family is different. How do you know what he did with his kids? Some kids no matter how good parents are to them they are jerkoffs and vice versa. If you hate the Eagles because your team plays them twice a year it isnt right for you to judge. because here in philadelphia if he had sent his kids to any type of treatment facility it would have been HUGE news ...dominated both TV and print and been fodder on WIP for MONTHS...and before you say it wouldn't have been found it...it DEFINITELY would have been leaked by someone somewhere....

I say again he's holding his employees to a higher standard....I'm not saying he should be fired...I'm not saying he should quit..I AM saying if he wants his players, his employees as you called them in a previous post held to a high standar one that reflects his Mormon values...then he best damn well hold his kids to the same standard and know what they are up to so they don't come back and reflect badly on him....as this is doing and will continue to do all summer long..and just when its about to die down will kick back up again when training camp starts. and agree or disagree but much like Opie and Anthony will always be linked with St Pats and Sex 4 Sam....Andy Reid will always be linked with what his kids have done.

Feb. 12 (Bloomberg) -- Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid took a month's leave of absence from the National Football League team in the wake of the arrest of two of his sons.

Reid, 48, is stepping away from his duties as Eagles head coach and executive vice president of football operations to ``attend to personal matters involving his family,'' the team said in a statement.

Britt Reid, 21, was arraigned last week on drug and weapons charges after allegedly pointing a handgun at another driver in a traffic confrontation on Jan. 30. Reid's eldest son, Garrett, 23, told police he had used heroin before an accident that same day that injured a 55-year-old woman.

Both cases have been sent to the state attorney general's office for criminal investigations.

Eagles President Joe Banner is scheduled to discuss Reid's leave at an afternoon news conference.

Reid probably will return to the team in mid-March, the team said. The NFL scouting combine is scheduled for Feb. 22-25 in Indianapolis. Reid is scheduled to return prior to the league's annual rookie draft, scheduled for April 28-29 in New York City.
