This fat bastard never fails to make me chuckle. If he isn't onstage (http://www.ntk.net/media/developers.mpg) trying to get their regional workforce pumped up by storming back and forth, sweat flying and fists pumping, he's shoving his size 15 EE shoe into his formidable mouth.

Witness his opinion that the fault of slow sales has nothing to do with the utter shiite that Vista is, it's piracy my friend, piracy..... (http://digg.com/tech_news/Ballmer_Blames_Pirates_for_Poor_Vista_Sales)

Wow Ant's video had quite the reach didn't it? No one's doing anything till the first service pack.

Umm, If you install Vista without the activation key, you get a 30 day trial. That's not exactly piracy, is it?

For me, 32bit Vista has been running very stable on my old PC while I'm waiting to get my XP MCE recovery disk from HP. I do have some issues with third party software compatibility and my system score is bellow 5 overall, so I won't go to Vista perminatly till I get a new rig.

yeah, Um piracy? DOesn't microsoft have the most advanced piracy protection features now? It's not like the good ole pre xp days where "Theoretcially" you and 10 others got 1 copy of Win2k and all shared it...

Or one copy of XP Pro slipstreamed with SP2 and pre-activated and loaded onto 30 machines.

Just sayin'

I have it on my new laptop. Completely sucks and I am prompted and prompted and promted for everything I do to check if a solution is available to fix the configuration problem.

So you are still able to update that and install media player 11?

Yep and IE7 also. It runs great. Unless you are a computer geek or a guy who needs the latest greatest. Just wait til it is more stable and see what the guinea pigs think.

MS just got whacked by a 1.5 Billion (yes, "Billion") judgment (http://today.reuters.com/news/articleinvesting.aspx?view=CN&storyID=2007-02-22T203840Z_01_N22459237_RTRIDST_0_MICROSOFT-VERDICT-UPDATE-1.XML&rpc=66&type=qcna).
