Fuck IE
I love IE (one of the few).
Firefox is just a pain in the ass. It isn't faster or better, its the same damn thing. I don't want to find a plug-in for every picture that wants to load.

But don't you hate when a new tab opens up like a pop up tab?
Like on this site, I get myradiostore.com and xm.com pop up tabs.
Maybe it's just my blocker though

Funny... I haven't had to "find" a single plugin since I first installed firefox, oh, two or three years ago.

most pop ups that squeak past my blocker never pop on top, they always pop under, so I never even notice them.

Why is Netscape up there? Mozilla Firefox IS the new netscape.
Regardless, I tried firefox, and didn't like it.

FF. But I did have do some fine tuning do get it right. It's focus was on security
first, so it didn't allow most sites. I'm no geek so it took me awhile. If you get
the noscript extension it will solve a lot of problems. You just have to allow each site.

Wrong, sir. Nutscrape 8 (http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/) is out, Firefox is what Netscape should have been until AOL bought it.

And that bloated POS still takes 2 minutes to load, so you're right :haha7:
Oh, and edited the poll to include Opera.

Does IE7 piss off anybody else besides me? It's just been an aggravating experience from the start. It's slow and clunky. They also rearranged the UI for no particular reason other than to make it unfamiliar and uncomfortable to use.

Ie Stinks
FF is pretty good
but OPERA is the best!
1. tab recycle bin
2. totally ajustble bar - you can take all the icons off and just use the keyboard (for the brave; like me)
3 if ur computer crashes it pops up a love window (open from last time, start a new opera or start a saved opera
4 after the page is loaded the status bar will dissaper (optional)
5 status bar has mutiple gagues so u can see what exactly is happing
6 Opera has many skins (msword my skin) and you can change it without a restart
7 freezes up less than firefox; Fire fox freezes up after 5 tabs in opera it's up to 20
8 Opera has wand feature that saves passwords and fills in blanks like (first name last, name, adress, zip)
9 you can use notes to save information such as credit card codes so you dont have to run to your wallet every time.
10 the search bar ads searches just by right clicking a search field on any web site and clicking create search
11 it even has speed dial so you can get to your favorite sites easier; they appear when you click new tab (ctrl-b) and you can click ctrl+1-9 to get to each on of them
12 you can add a clock so when ur in full screen u still know what time it is
13 It has fastforward and rewind buttons to get past lets say the nine fourms u went threw.
14 you can do all these features without downloading hundreds of plugins
15 really good scrolling
16 You can even download bittorents right in the browser!!!!
17 you can block all content out by right clicking
18 you can use mouse gestures which allow u to control your browser with motions of the mouse, I.E. back forward
that's all i can think of but hey 18 over why you should use opera over firefox

Been using FF since beta 4, my server and everyday pc have never run IE.
Basically. Same here.
I think trying to explain the FF pros versus cons here would be lost too, or else I'd educate all the vulnerable IE users.
Keep using IE though, it definitely keeps blackhats getting money, also it's a never ending source of amusement on the people who use it.
Always had a nod to opera, too.

Anyway, I still use Firefox, but all the security issues I read about have me thinking twice.
I only use Firefox, anything else is uncivilized.

All I know is that since switching to Firefox 2 years ago, I haven't gotten a virus and have only encountered minor spyware that was easily removed.
I had a few problems with extensions working with Firefox 2, but other than that, no real complaints.
I think it comes down to the fact that computer geeks and hackers hate Microsoft. I'm sure if they turned their attention on Firefox, they could wreak just as much havoc. Until they do, I'm sticking with Firefox.
