its either Primo PDF, the simplest way to create PDF files
www.primopdf.com
or
Screen Hunter, an easy screen-capture program
www.wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter.htm
I use both a lot.

ATnotes (http://atnotes.free.fr/)
a great virtual post-it note program that doesn't take up a lot of memory, has some nice basic features.
Also, for a free document reader you can't beat Foxit (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php). Anything is better than fucking Adobe's resource hogging, nag screening piece of shit.
My favorite would have to be Burn4Free (http://www.burn4free.com/)
