The game has the same old-school feel as the first two titles. I'm not a fan of RTS games at all but I really enjoyed this demo. The same cheesy live action cut-scenes with over-the-top acting is there, basically the same easy to navigate interface etc.

Re Renegade: Renegade was all about the multiplayer. Theres still a good sized community playing it to this day. I really wish EA would do a sequel.

No kidding. I liked Half-Life 2 back when it was called Doom, the Xbox 360 when it was called the ColecoVision, and XM radio when it was called morse code. Even though you are not supposed to be able to play as NOD in the demo you can, select skirmish then click on the greyed out NOD text in the team menu then press N on your keyboard, if you want the other team to be GDI press g on your keyboard once you have selected it.

ugh, I jumped into the skirmish mode on the EASIEST fucking setting and I got my ass kicked by the AI. I really really want to get into this genre but 20+ years of alcohol and pharmaceuticals seemed to have done their job.......:icon_mad:

That happened to me on my first skirmish. Here's what I did to win.

Built power plant
built refinery
built barracks
built ground units
built war machine (?)
built tanks and things that look like jeeps

always keep units protecting your base
send tanks etc. to enemy base from the sides, not down the center where enemy troops are occupying buildings
build as many units as you can and never stop replacing units that are killed

I fucking loved C&C Red Alert, I bought it when we got our first "family computer" in like 97.
I tried loading it, but it says you have to run it on windows 95 or some shit, I'll love to be the Soviets again.
I could never do well with the Allies

Finally beat skirmish on Hard...spammed rocket troops and guard towers until I could actually put an offense together, worked pretty well.

The CPU is good, but pretty stupid. It will send any unit at any tower you build and let it slaughter them.

I love this entire series. I've been playing it since the first one. My old room mate and I had two TV's and two Playstations hooked together in our living room just for the express purpose of playing this game. Another friend bought a new computer just so he could play General's, because his old one couldn't run it.

I can't wait for this to be released. Fucking Kane and the Brotherhood are back!

It looks like a lot at first, but you get the hang of it fast.

Also, on the main menu there is a video tutorial feature. It teaches you the basis very quickly.

I've had more fun with the game then any command and conquer.
