The Demo is up on XBOX Live marketplace. and the demo is Game 7 of the NLCS starting in the 7th inning with Chad Bradford pitching, Which as a Mets it was cool to see that the mets were in the demo but that was not a good game for mets fans, but in this playable demo you get the chance to change the outcome.

on a side note about this game can they stop fucking putting derek jeter on the Cover fuck him.

hopefully it's better than last year's miserable attempt at creating a baseball game...

I'm so glad I didn't buy it

but I want updated rosters...and my MVP just isn't cutting it anymore...
I may have to get this one

I just played through it very cool, much better then last years version. I am a huge baseball nerd so i will play any of their games for XBOX but i really do like this new one. I got a Home Run with David Wright and loved to see that apple pop up.

Also forgot to mention that the full game is out in stores as well.

yeah... I have to say the updated rosters from last years sucked. Hopefully this one is better, though I will most likely wait for it towards the end of the year.

from what I heard they revamped 2k7 the way ea did with triple play to MVP.

From the vids I saw and the reviews I read its supposed to be a fucking amazing game.. we will see.

I miss EA baseball :(

I got it today its good, but still doesn't touch MVP 05, I cant hit for shit yet and whenever I come close to a home run the computer robs it. The fielding camera and the fielding in general sucks cock, but the pitching is great.

Its better then last years and since its the only baseball game out for 360 its worth it.

bottom line, bring back EA.

No Shit, I still have the last version on my computer. MVP 2005
I still play that over the other baseball games I've played or that my brother has on Xbox.

I'm a dork though, and have created new better players and made a lot of trades to get the teams right for 2006/7

Mvp baseball wasn't the crap one last year. Mlb 2k6 was pretty good, and offered up a pretty good season/franchise mode.

On a side note, the full retail version of 2k7 this year is just what the doctor ordrered.

I picked up 2k7 yesterday. Haven't had much time to play yet, but what I have played I like. The batting will take a bit to get used to, but once I get it the hang of it, I know that I will love it (kind of like NHL 07).

If you're put off by the batting controls, you can always switch the style to swing when pressing a button instead of moving the sticks.
Loved Mlb 2k6, this is just a fancier looking version of it with updated rosters and a slicker interface. Game play is nearly identical.

I got this and it takes a little while to get the control down but I'm liking it. I switched the the batting to classic and its better. Jason Giambi has been robbed easily 5 times in 3 games, the computer takes away HRs way too easy.

from what I've been reading, including over at IGN 2k sports missed the boat once again - Way too many stupid bugs that just piss you off...if you get annoyed by shit like that of course

The number of players listed at 100 is INSANE!
They even played a game where the announcer was calling the wrong f'ing game!

I'm missing EA SPORTS. 2k sports cannot make a baseball game to save their life. Fuck!

I'll probably end up buying it just because I need some baseball...but why they released it a month early (with no competition) is beyond me. Dolts!

2k really kicks ass at basketball but the Badeball game is so far behind MVP it is silly.
Hate these friggin exlusivity deals.
2k had a pretty good Football game as well before EA got the monopoly.
They sure suck at baseball for sure.

because Franchise is a must

I just got it really like ot over last years. Its pretty amazing visually with wind blowing the unis and all kinds of stuff.

I have heard reports that Franchise is not good due to the CPU making Crazy trades with each other quite often. Also if players go on the DL the CPU teams send them to the minors and wont call them back when they get off the DL. They also make crazy lineups and such.
Supposed to be mainly due to CPU trading and Injuries. Some have said if you turn off AI trading and Injuries its is ok but some like that stuff.

I've played as the mets and I am loving it...i've played with the swing stick and classic, I perfer classic though. the one thing i think they did really well is the pitching, the breakpoint is really on the mark as pitching would go, it really makes it realalitic

I just played 5 games straight:

I like the visuals. The graphics are nice and look pretty smooth.

The game calling for the most part is pretty good though there were some fuck ups:

"he boots it" - when the player just picked up the ball (that's not fucking booting it!)
"Just down the line" - easily 50-90 feet away from fair territory

Fielding is pretty decent as well, though it seems to be a little spastic on line drives. I have yet todive and make a play. The throwing after you get the ball is nothing but clicking the button - it doesn't matter how long you hold the button.

Hitting: Well, I went classic immediately and hit a home run. The hit stick still stinks and to me is just awkward.

I haven't gotten into franchise or seasons yet. That's next on the agenda.

Again, I really think that EA had it down and got shafted on not getting the rights to do MLB. 2k sports should stick to hockey and basketball. Their controls were hands down the best and to me made the most sense. This game will take some MAJOR getting used to.

I'll probably end up buying it just because I want some updated rosters and don't want to do it on MVP...though I'm actually thinking about doing that one day instead of spending 30-40 bucks on this game.

I'm so depressed that there isn't a really good baseball game out there anymore...

MLB 06-MLB 07:The Show have been really good. To say otherwise is ignorant, infact they're probobly better then the MVP series was now. Try those games out.

No XBOX version of the game.:mad4:

I've been playing Franchise mode for the past few nights.

I too quickly went back to the classic controls of swinging. The swing stick just didn't work out for me. I guess it's for those who never started off using the good ol' A button.

Like I had said, I enjoy the smoothness of the graphics. They have paid attention to nice player details, mainly the uniforms. Graphics within the stadiums isn't anything to write home about however.

The crowd audio is brutal. There are many times that there is no sound at all...none! Sometimes it doesn't even make sense when they are yelling and clapping. The announcers are decent, though like I said before, they will begin to repeat things and that gets frustrating to the point that I will listen to ANOTHER O&A replay just to mute it out. "1 out...and a pop fly! ...And he boots it!....2 outs...huh?"

Gameplay is pretty decent. I have gotten used to the pitching. I still get pissed when my guy gets nervous, but I have gotten used to it and it makes the game much more real.

Stealing: I just can't get this down..or rather...I don't want to. For some reason, I know that it looks cool and all, but I liked the times when I could just send the man. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but it just seems to make me feel like an idiot when I'm saying to myself (I should really do a hit&run or steal right now...ah fuck it, it's a pain in the ass).

Controlling the fielding is kind of awkward and I often get pissed off at a guy that dives backwards or doesn't climb the wall the way he is supposed to. Throwing is beyond simple though as well as double plays (which actually look pretty damn sweet.)

I'd give the game an 8. MUCH better than last years diarrheal stain. I've actually hung in there long enough to get a few rounds in without cringing.

I'm waiting to see how MLB: The Show '07 looks on PS3 before I make a decision on what baseball game to buy. I thought The Show '06 was surprisingly good on the PSP last year (which I bought from all those MLB '06 advertisements that bombarded the World Baseball Classic last year) so I can wait and sit on it for now.

The really cool aspect of The Show '07 is the ability to create a player, and working him up from the Minor Leagues up to the Majors -- but ONLY from your at-bats and ONLY from your defensive position. If done right, this could be really cool. If done wrong, it could be really fucking boring.

I'm jonesing to play baseball on the 360, but before I grab this game, I just want to know two things:

Scale of 1 to 10 for a baseball game?

Does anyone know if the 360 will be getting more baseball titles?

Thanks

I got some achievements but zero online achievements. It seems pretty standard practice with games getting fubar with xbox live.
