My iPod mini can no longer hold all that I want, it was good when I was in 10th grade, but I need something better.

A 30Gb iPod is 249.99$ and a 80Gb iPod is 349.99$. I'm selling my mini for 50$. Is it worth the extra 100$ to get 50 more Gb? Or should I just stay with 30Gb?

I listen to a lot of music, but I think even 80Gb is somewhat unrealistic.

Also, is there any other good option out there except the iPod that I should consider?

creative zen vision:m....recently they came out with a 60gb one recently for i believe the same price as the original 30gb model. the battery life is unbelievable...i watched about 5 hours worth of video before battery being low. also it has 250k-something colors which is ridiculous and makes the picture look unbelievably crisp.

I bought a 60 gig when CompUSA put them on clearance brand new for $200 and have tried like hell to feel it up. Right now I am sitting at 17 gigs of music now and it is ridiculous trying to play something in the car. 30 gigs is a ton of music, if you are going to start putting movies on it or just videos in general, the 80 gig might be worth looking at.

Can you give me a link to that? I looked up the 30Gb Zune and it's the same as the 30Gb iPod.

Edit : There's no such thing as a 60Gb Zune.

standard mp3's aren't changing very much where bigger file sizes come into play. Unless you have the songs to fill an 80GB I'd save the cash and go 30GB. Save the money towards the next evolution of portable music.

Im with TheJew on his suggestion. Ipods are proprietary garbage in my opinion.

If your gonna put vid clips and shit like that go with the 80, 30 should be enough if not, but I would always go bigger just so you can't run out.

I also recommend you go this route. If I was going to spend that much money on a MP3 player, this is what I would get.

Like big screen TVs you can never go big enough. If you buy the 30 you'll wish you had bought the 80. And like some other guys are suggesting, stay away from IPod. Several other large capacity mp3 players on the market to choose from.

I need to learn to read as I am obviously an idiot. I thought that said Zune, not Zen.

My mistake. Thanks for the link.

Have a 60 on my iAudio. I can run higher bitrates and use FLAC.

I immediately got up to 25 gigs the day after I got it, luckily I got the 60.

I second the Vision: M. the player is amazing and unlike the ipod, the content you use isn't tied to a computer or itunes. my chick's just died and she's essentially going to lose all her songs because of apple's protection process.

that is, unless I take my Vision:M, dump all of my music into her computer (which is very easy) and save the day. it's not as slick as the ipod, but it's got great sound, great battery life and plays WMAs so you're getting even more music - that is, unless you're deadset on mp3.

I'm looking at this player right now. I'm always on the fence about spending $300 on something like that. It pisses me off that creative went from a standard USB port to their own. I have a Vision Micro and it is great.

I'm still pissed at the fact that the 80GB costs less than the 60GB I have. I paid $400 for mine last year. Then the 80 comes out not too long ago for $350. :icon_evil

I just ordered the 60GB Creative Zen Vision:M. Does anyone know where I can get accessories for it? Particularly an armband. I found a bunch for the 30gb model but apparently it isn't compatible with the 60gb.
