CONTEST!!! Help design the new Wackbag.com T-Shirt!!!

Have you been looking at the current wackbag.com t-shirt, and thought to yourself "Hmm... it's nice and all, but I have one, and it's almost 2 years old already. I wish they'd make a new one"

Or, have you thought to yourself, "I really HATE 'Pat Battle' mode, and wish they wouldn't use it anymore!!!"

Well - here is your chance!

We have decided to try and kill two birds with one stone, and we need your help! We would like to enlist all the creative people on the board to brain storm, and come up with a new t-shirt design.

Here are the details:

The shirt MUST say Wackbag.com on it (preferably in the current style, but is not restricted to that)
There has to be a giiiiirl's version (or a girls-only design)
We CAN NOT use 'WOW' or 'Opie and Anthony' on the shirt (however, you can get around that if you are creative enough)
The design can be text or images, or a combination
BE CREATIVE!!! There are a lot of funny & talented people on this site, and I know you can do it!
Submit as many entries as you'd like!
All decisions will be made by the board staff, and will be final.


E-mail All submissions to me at: t-shirts@wackbag.com. You must include your board-name in the e-mail (so I can track who has entered and how many times). If you wish to remain anonymous as far as the contest goes, just let me know, and I won't post who you are. Submissions posted in this thread will not be considered, and you will also be required to put your hand in a mouse trap :icon_wink

The money raised in sales of the shirts is going to pay for the new server we are getting :icon_mrgr - which should cut back drastically on how often we need to go into Pat Battle mode (Hopefully eliminate the need for it at all!!!), and generally speed things up for everyone a bit.

Ideally, we would like to launch the new shirt(s) by April 15th - the 2 year anniversary of when the last shirt was launched. That means we'd like to have all entries in by April 1st. I am still working on possibly getting some prizes together, but at the very least if I can't - whomever wins the contest, I will personally buy you a shirt of your choice. :)

Well - the simpler the better (dont want shirts to have to sell for $30 just to break-even!), but if something is really amazing, we can work something out - like a "limited edition" version or something.

As far as having wackbag.com on it... that is the requirement - that the site name is on the shirt. I am leaving it up to you (collectively) to come up with something creative. :icon_wink

Not that I know of. I just went thru the thread that contained the origional
design ideas in it. Unfortunately that was a few years ago and the people
that did the artwork are no longer around. All of the images that were
being discussed and eventually used are all dead links now.

Yeah, I've worn mine alot in the years I've owned it and it still looks great.

( I never did get that ultra-exclusive "staff" shirt though... :( )

We won't be offering it, but like the old shirts - feel free to mod it yourself. Some people had done that.

I've been a professional illustrator for 20 years...I'll try to come up with a really strong one color design....give back to all that was given to me since the bbboys made it to XM. 202 is on all the time...more than I want to admit even here..

Q: Can I include illustrations of the bboys without any text except for wackbag.com? You said they can't be mentioned but do likeness illustrations count? If not....that's OK, I have some additional ideas.

Thanks for the info....no matter, though. I already have my design sketched, and about to ink it tomorrow. There is no need for likenesses for my design. I am serious about drawing this, because your website rules, as much as XM 202.

I have a wicked image that people will want to wear in PUBLIC... and not look like they are promoting a porn site. The image will make the website make sense on the shirt. No disrespect to current designs, but I do have something over the top ready, and hopefully cool enough to appeal to people who don't even know what wackbag is or care.......and it will be one color. My design is meant to be white ink over a black shirt. Black shirts rule.

Anyway.... Talk is cheap....my entry will back it up....I will send a decent quality jpg for review but will also have a high res tif file for printing if it is chosen. it will be badass though.... :icon_evil

I hope to get my entry in by Wed this week.

Glad you got the file......Only 8 entries? Oh well, increases my chances for success. Once I slice the tendons of my competitors, I am home free.

I actually have 6 bikes and a helmet to airbrush within 2 weeks and what do I do?.....did this contest entry instead. But if you don't do some stuff for fun, it gets to be a drag. O&A (R&F) keep me company while painting.....I need to find more ways to support the show.

I don't know, the folks at FBA came up with shirts based on bits: Baby Bird, Treat Yourself, etc. But I agree this particular shirt design contest should be more about the board itself rather than the show...
