Wasn't sure if I should post this in the O&A forum, since this is no one of importance, or if it needs to be in the FU forum because it really annoyed me. So I picked the best of both worlds, the Off Topic forum.


Anyway, I posted a topic in my university's message board, "The Hub (http://hub.ou.edu)," (sorry fellas, can't attack it without a student ID :P), and I had mentioned Opie & Anthony. I brought up some things they mentioned on the show, not only because I wanted to plug O&A, but also because if you don't cite your references in an argument, these stupid too-cool-for-the-room board nazis will bash you. BACK IT UP MAAAAAAAAAAN.

I quoted some O&A shit (paraphrased, really) and said how I agreed with something Jimmy said on the show referring to the politically correct.

Someone was angry at the fact that I agreed with something I heard on Opie & Anthony....

Opie & Anthony look for the most shocking and offensive things they can find to get their audience riled up. May I remind you, this is the duo that put that couple up to having sex in St. Patrick's Cathedral, live and on-the-air. They find a few extremists, who don't represent anyone but themselves, because they know people will get excited. They could just as easily do the same thing with neo-nazis or Louis Farakahn, but they know people will be more offended if it sounds "real." You will not get an accurate view of the world by listening to O&A anymore than you would by listening to Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh, or George Noory (he's the guy who interviews people who think they've been kidnaped by space aliens.)
