If you could just pick XM202 ONLY(no other stations),and it would play as it is right now with no changes, what is it worth to you per month?

Well, it is the only channel I listen to now.
It's not the only thing I listen to, but all of the music that I listen to
could be replaced by an I-pod on shuffle.
I really got XM for the show.
The price I pay now is probably fair. Anymore and I might just bail and
settle for the Free FM version only.

i love the bbboys and have been listening since '99, but i'm not gonna be one of those dopes who say "I'll pay ANYTHING to hear them!" if the price got too unreasonable, i wouldn't be able to afford it and i have plenty of bills that take priority over a radio show. it's good where it is now, i can deal with $12.95.

I already pay out the ass and 202 is the only channel I listen to. I won't pay higher than 15 for 202. I hate to say it but I would go back to the shit fm radio up here or figure out how to put mp3's on my radio in my truck and machine.

Well, it is the only XM satellite channel I listen too. I am in a great market, alot of choice for me on AM and FM, with sound quality that XM has not a candle to.

I'm paying for five units as it is....and honestly don't feel like I'm getting screwed; but we listen to alot of baseball too.

I wouldn't, to be honest. I love being able to have O&A and R&F in my car as I drive to and from school, but it's not that important to me, since I usually listen to the music anyway.

I listen to the shows later on in the day at home via nefarious means.

There should be a $12.95 option on this poll. It's a good price, and I wouldnt want to pay more for XM.

I understand that there are other stations, and I check them out from time to time (usualy during the FreeFM breaks, or on the drive home when I dont feel like listening to the show again).. but I consider the rest of the channels a bonus. My ipod could easily replace XM for me if 202 weren't there.

It would be difficult to assign a value to just 202. Yes, I listen to it the most of any channel, but I don't know if paying for just 202 makes sense. With the cost of the radio and any monthly recurring fees it is expensive when a free FreeFM alternative is available even in limited form. MLB is the only other exclusive that I value with XM.

Long term I see O&A moving to FM. If the merger goes through, it is my opinion that they will chase the money and move 100% to FM. Why not, larger audience and more opportunity.

I've taken the liberty of fashioning a letter should this occur...

Dear satellite radio providers,
Please do not expect us to shell out more cash in order to hear the shows we love. If this happens I see a revolt the likes of which you pig fuckers have never seen...mailboxes full of cocks, voicemailed FU's, and other horrors too painful to mention...please consider this before making any rash decisions.

I picked $10 a month. I only listen to 202 now while paying $12.95, so if I was dropping all the other crap I don't listen to, I'd still be willing to pay $10 for just 202.

My biggest fear is they make you pay a base fee of like 7 - 10 bucks, then take something like an "Extreme Talk" package that gives you O&A, Ron and Fez, Stern and Bubba. I see them thinking of something like that to try and force all the O&A fans to take Stern too, there by helping the new merged company pay for his 500 million dollar mistake.

That would really fucking blow and I'd bail.

Cunty McShitballs

I pay for 2 subs and listen to 202 90% of the time and XMU the other 10%

If they took all of the channels off except 202, I wouldn't give a shit...I have other outlets to replace XMU.

So, worst case scenario, if in some bizarro-world where O&A were kicked off of free-FM and XM, and had to so some Internet streaming shit (and charge high dollar to offset the lack of a built-in customer base) I would pay upwards of $50.00, no problem.

I am with the majority of folks here. $12.95 is enough considering I only listen to 202 with an occasional ESPN radio mixed in. I have had XM for 2.5 years, and I still think the music stations blow.

I still do not think this merger is a definate. I am holding off all judgement until I get a letter in the mail. I might go up to $15/month total...that would be my limit. I hope that the compnaies are paying attention though. Any significant increase in sub price could see massive defections.

If owning XM was the ONLY way to get RnF and OnA...
I think I would be willing to pay like 50-75 a month or around there.
They're a good 5-7 hours of my daily entertainment, I'd probably cancel cable tv, so i'd have that money to throw at it.

I currently have two receivers (an XM Commander hardwired in my car and a Myfi in my office) and listen at home using XM Online and an FM transmitter.

Right before the last price increase, I paid about $500 (I think) for a 5 year subscription for the primary receiver ($8.33 per month) and I'm paying $6.99 for the additional receiver monthly. The only channel that I listen to is 202. So, right now, I'm paying $15.23 per month to listen to O&A and R&F.

If they are still on XM when my subscription expires, I wouldn't have a problem paying $19.94 ($12.95 + $6.99) to listen to 202 on my two receivers.

for only o and a... 5 bucks. which surprises me that i say that. to get o and a and ron and fez i'd pay up to 10 to 15 bucks.

btw some of the posts you ppl have made is the kind of thought process that has always bugged me. I don't get ppl that can get their music fix from an ipod. i own an ipod. i fucking love it. but where else can i find new indie, or unheard music other than some of the stations on xm? besides going to concerts religiously its hard to find music i don't already know. maybe it's because i gow tired of music quickly and need to hear something different. i fucking love XM The Verge, XMU, some of Ethel, some of Fungus, and a bit of Liquid Metal.
