Ah you know the deal. He was there when O&A did an appearance right before they came to XM I'm pretty sure, but Howie makes people sign that gag order. The closest hes been to O&A is being on the Lazlow show a few times. Sucks since he's a funny guy

went to see artie's show at carnegie hall last year. jim was the second of 2 openers. fuckin' hoo-hoo has to make his royal entrance 1/2 way through jim's set. o@a wouldn't have done that. he's has to making bank over there for him to take that shit. if the merger goes through, he'll be on the show.

If O and A did that nobody would care, they'd just keep watching the comedian. Since they're so aproachable, their enterance wouldn't be that big a deal. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the way it seems.

A lot of the comedians on Stern's show wish the whole feud would be over so they could do both shows... but I don't see Hoo Hoo entertaining that, it's the only way he gets press sometimes (same as Dice)

You must be unless I missed a show from years ago. He is friends with Jimmy but I do not think he has ever been on the show.

I think he was on the show or on the phone at least once during the WNEW days. I think it was when Norton mentioned "the lad bag (crinkle, crinkle)".
I think Devon (Buzz from Home Alone) was there too.

I was trying to remember if he was on the phone when they were discussing the apartment they shared right before they made Norton Cribs. Either way, that isn't enough to get the show into his bio.

It's a shame Florentine doesnt appear on the show, I saw him open for Dice around 5 years ago when i wasnt expecting him and he was hysterical.
I honestly can believe how much I friggin haaaaaaaate Dice right now.
I never thought i could be so dead set against someone i enjoyed so much.
Op might not do the impressions or have the one-liners but he's the glue that holds the show together!!!!!!!! (that's right, 8...count'em 8 exclamation points

O&A have said before they have no problem with people doing other shows, the guys gotta promote their events. So if someone like Florentine doesn't appear on the show, there is a good chance that it isn't because O&A stopped it.

I love Florentine but understand if he's having success going on Howard and doesn't want to potentially mess anything up for himself. He's like Norton's best friend and it's pretty odd that he doesn't come on but whatever. I think he was on at least once on 'new though.

Norton doesn't bash Howard? Has he mentioned this on the show before and I haven't picked up on it? I never really noticed that Norton doesn't bash on him, but I may just zone out when the topic comes up. If he has, what is his reason behind not?
Thanks for any info

Jimmy has made a few comments but they weren't really bashing. i remember a specific reference to the letterman appearance. Howie and crew were saying it was a bad appearance and jimmy was saying things along the lines of "you have to be an idiot if you think it was bad" kinda thing.

Florentine has a steady comedy gig with the Killers of Comedy, Rev. Bob Levy and the Stern freaks....they have built in promotion on the Stern show...I would think that he wants to mess that up....I would love to see him come on the show though....he is hilarious....

I believe Jim Floentine and Jim Norton were roommates for a few years right? maybe im thinking of another comic.
I think i remember back in WNEW when OnA did a Mtv cribs-esqe bit on the show and they did Nortons yuk ... "crib" and that was when he shared it with Jim F. I think he might have been one the phone once or twice during that time. nothing major

Florentine and Bob Levy have been on the show before and they are both glued to Stern now. Thats just the way it is.
You have to go back to the cribs days and there is a clip that anthony has rick go through Floretines roladex and check the "S" section. They couldnt say Stern at that point but Florentine had already made his choice between shows and they had a litte fun with it.

Is Florentine even on Hoo Hoo's show that often? I read the Marks Friggin site summary pretty often (just to see what crap he has to say about O&A), and I very rarely see any mention of him. It really does not seem like he doesn't get a whole lot out of the deal. With that being said, I don't see many comedians getting a lot out of working on Hoo Hoo's show.

When Florentine performed at Jim Bruer's show back in Janurary, there was no mention of him appearing on O&A, just Stern and a few other TV shows.
That could be because Bruer is Sirius and they don't want to promote the competition.

Levy, Florentine + Howard Stern Show regulars head for Starland on Saturday, June 16th!
Talk about a Sirius-ly funny show: The Reverend Bob Levy and Jim Florentine join forces with Stern show regulars Shuli, Richard Christy, Sal "The Stockbroker" Governale and Beetlejuice to form "The Killers Of Comedy. If you're a fan of Stern's radio show, you're familiar with these names and you know this will be a good time. Haven't made the jump to satellite? Take our word for it -- this is a raucous night of comedy you won't soon forget. This is an 18 to enter, 21 to drink event.

Levy & Florentine are really the only ones to promote here.. The rest of those HACKS they put up on stage are useless. What will Sal and Richard do fuckin fake prank phone calls on stage? Do we get to ask beetlejuice the same shit Sterns been askin for the past 7 years? What really sucks about those comics goin on Stern is that they get NO FUCKIN CHANCE to talk at all. They just use his name to promote gigs.

He does not bash Howard because he is good friends with a bunch of comics that are on Howards show like Florentine, Rev Bob Levy and Artie. I think he feels if he bashes howard he is bashing his friends.
Also the battle with Howard is between O&A and Howard. Not O&A, Norton vs. Howard. Jimmy has said it a few times.

What is there to elaborate? Almost everyone that listens to the show knows that any comic that is not in a major movie will not be back on Howards show if they are on O&A. Now since O&A have a lot of good comics on the show it makes it harder for them to jump ship and loose the fan base they made with Howards show.

That's not totally true, Stanhope did both shows this week and a few months ago. Stern has said the same thing as the boys, he can't stop anyone from doing both shows. That being said if they were to bash Stern on O&A you probably wouldn't hear them on H100 for a while.

There is no ban but comics know not to bother getting in the middle. Patrice turned down Stern a year ago so it goes both ways
Comics that get connected to Stern won't bother just like Patrice doesn't from the other side
Much ado about nothing
