I went out and a had a few beers with a freind I hadn;t seen in a couple of years. He was always very much a "hippie" type in his view on life, the world, etc...

Talking to him last night was one of the most annoying things I have had to deal with. He thinks the world is doomed because of technology, he think MP3's are killing the music industry, and he thinks we need more love and less money in ouir lives maaaaannnnn.

A conversation was like:
"Are you Happy"...

Of Course I am

Do you want more?

More what?

More anything....

Of course I do.

Then you cant say your happy.

Arguing with him was pointless, because he answered you with "belitteling" coments like "You'll see some day"...Like he had some sort of inside knowledge on how the world worked and I would find out when my soul was ready...It was very annoying.

Anyway, I thiunk they should get two or three hippies to come in studio and have debates with Anthony. Their views are so different it would be hilarious to hear them argue....

I live in Berkeley, CA... and last night I saw something I'll never forget. A person taping a sign saying "Stop the War" on a stop light pole. You rarely ever see the culprit, just the sign hanging there neglected. At the very moment I saw him taping it to the pole, I felt sorry for him. He wasn't a minority, he was grungy looking, probably hadn't showered in days... yet he was trying to tell ME AND EVERYONE ELSE what was right and wrong. He was borderline homeless.. maybe even paid to hang these stupid neon green signs up everywhere. He gave me a vibe of "I'll agree with your views if you feed me." I yelled "YEAH MaaaaaaaannnnN!" at him knowing he wouldn't get it, but what the hell. I pity people that base their life around some sort of political stance. Believe what you need to, but don't base your fucking life around it. Nobody gives a shit in the end.

P.S. I'm hammered and have NO idea what the original post was about anymore.
