When XM Chill first came out he really pumped it so I checked it out. I am now addicted to it. Love the station I can play it in the background as I am on a sales call. Kills the dead Silence as well as getting the guy on the other end of the phone dancing and making him buy more. Thanks Op

Love the Chill music. It's the music from all those British gangster films. :)

haha. nice! Mariachis are mexican though.

I love that freakin' channel. They're smooth buttery beats. Some stuff is just too offbeat so I switch it. But great channel. Now if we can get a pure breakbeat channel we'd be in business :D

I never really checked it out much. Isn't it like Enya and Tangerene Dream stuff? I used to love Tangerene Dream and Enya style music but now it's all about the hardstyle trance, techno for me.

Requiem turned me on to Massive Attack.. and then it was on. I can't stand the buttery stuff, but I really like the trance stuff.

You'd probably like Rabbit in the Moon then...good luck finding anything on CD though. (F.L.O.O.R.I.D.A. is the only CD he has out) He's mainly a live act. I must admit that he is an acquired taste, but you don't even have to be on drugs to get fucked up to his music.

Rabbit in the moon is great if you're into Florida Breaks. Which are light, funky type breakbeats. "Subconciousness" is their best song in my opinion. Good luck finding it though. If you do get F.L.O.O.R.I.D.A., make sure to put a listen to the hidden piano solo after the last track.

If you're into ambient with a few beats here and there I recommend these as my top 3:

Sasha - "Airdrawndagger"
Leama and Moore - "Common Ground"
Akira Yamaoka - Silent Hill 2 and 3 soundtracks

Personally I'm more into Drum and Bass. I hate 2 step though. Prefer more acts like Pendulum, AK1200, DJ Fresh, )EIB(, Clipz, etc. I've been looking for this Breakbeat KOAS Double disc import set by Fresh but can't find the damn thing anywhere. And when I did spot it, it was $35 and unavailable.

LTJ Bukem and Dieselboy are my two favorites. Dieselboy's "Project Human" is in my hall of fame. LTJ Bukem's "Live from Tokyo" is one of the best ambient, funky drum and bass cd's I've heard. Havn't heard much AK1200 other than the classic remix of The Crystal Method's "Keep Hope Alive". I like the direction djs and producers are taking breakbeats. They're going with a real progressive house sound with more melodies. But I still love the hard pounding breaks though. Hyper and Adam Freeland got me hooked on harder breaks when I saw them live years back.
