Ya have to admit that even though she is a dyke, she is hot. I love it that she stuck it to David O. Selznik...I mean David O. Russell. He seems like the dochebag director that switches everything around at the last minute, to take away from the funny. Say what you want about Lily Tomlin, but she is a fucking legend and you don't talk back to a legend that way. You can do it in private, but not to her face.

I just fucking hate it when directors change shit around last minute (not implying anything) to take away from what the actors can acheive. You want a bad movie where you're going to change shit around for yourself, fine, but be sure that you will be the only one left in the project, David O. Russell. I heard that on the set of the cinematic masterpiece "Three Kings" George Clooney fucking pwned your ass. You should be forever greatful to be working with such talent. And yet, you're managing to blow it because of some stupid temper. I bet that you cannot even get it up in the bedroom.

I'll tell you what David O. Russell, you even try and talk back to me like that again, I will bite a cunk of flesh off of you, bite your fucking fist with my teeth as it trys to go into my mouth, stomp down on that shrivelled grown you call a penis, and then freeze you underneath a bowling alley. So don't fuck with me, buster!

Please, she hasn't been funny since 1969. Anyway, she is the one who provoked the director into a tantrum. You have to see both videos.

:haha7: Love how in the 2nd clip he storms forward and out of sight behind the camera, still mouthing off, and the next thing he reappears, this time blasting in through the door on the set. That and Lily in the first clip trying to get out of the prop car. Never saw the movie, I wonder if the meltdown attitude carried onto the film once they actually shot the scene.

I loved I Heart Huckabees. He may have a shitty temper, but he's a good filmmaker. From here, it looks like both Lily and David were being drama queens.

Here's an interview with George Clooney about his experience with David O. Russell during the filming of Three Kings.

PLAYBOY: What made you want to do that movie?

CLOONEY: David Russell wrote as good a script as I've ever read. I fought to get it. He wanted a lot of other actors before me. They went to Mel and to Nic Cage. I wanted to work on this movie. David is in many ways a genius, though I learned that he's not a genius when it comes to people skills.

PLAYBOY: Did you learn about that the hard way?

CLOONEY: I did. He yelled and screamed at people all day, from day one.

PLAYBOY: Did he yell at you?

CLOONEY: At me often --- and at someone daily. He'd throw off his headset and scream, "Today the sound department flicked me!" For me, it came to a head a couple of times. Once, he went after a camera-car driver who I knew from high school. I had nothing to do with his getting his job, but David began yelling and screaming at him and embarrassing him in front of everybody. I told him, "You can yell and scream and even fire him, but what you can't do is humiliate him in front of people. Not on my set, if I have any say about it." Another time he screamed at the script supervisor and made her cry. I wrote him a letter and said, "Look, I don't know why you do this. You've written a brilliant script, and I think you're a good director. Let's not have a set like this. I don't like it and I don't work well like this." I'm not one of those actors who likes things in disarray. He read the letter and we started all over again. But later, we were three weeks behind schedule, which puts some pressure on you, and he was in a bad mood. These army kids, who were working as extras, were supposed to tackle us. There were three helicopters in the air and 300 extras on the set. It was a tense time, and a little dangerous, too. David wanted one of the extras to grab me and throw me down. This kid was a little nervous about it, and David walked up to him and grabbed him. He pushed him onto the ground. He kicked him and screamed, "Do you want to be in this *beep* movie? Then throw him to the *beep* ground!" The second assistant director came up and said, "You don't do that, David. You want them to do something, you tell me." David grabbed his walkie-talkie and threw it on the ground. He screamed, "Shut the *beep* up! *beep* you," and the AD goes, *beep* you! I quit." He walked off.

It was a dangerous time. I'd sent him this letter. I was trying to make things work, so I went over and put my arm around him. I said, "David, it's a big day. But you can't shove, push or humiliate people who aren't allowed to defend themselves." He turned on me and said, "Why don't you just worry about your *beep* act? You're being a dick. You want to hit me? You want to hit me? Come on, pussy, hit me." I'm looking at him like he's out of his mind. Then he started banging me on the head with his head. He goes, "Hit me, you pussy. Hit me." Then he got me by the throat and I went nuts. Waldo, my buddy, one of the boys, grabbed me by the waist to get me to let go of him. I had him by the throat. I was going to kill him. Kill him. Finally, he apologized, but I walked away. By then the Warner Bros. guys were freaking out. David sort of pouted through the rest of the shoot and we finished the movie, but it was truly, without exception, the worst experience of my life.

PLAYBOY: Did you resolve things? Would you ever work with him again?

CLOONEY: Life's too short.

Seems like a piece of shit director to me. I could probably kick his ass. You don't keep changing the script around just for the sake of changing your script around. People won't want to work with you. BTW, nice white suit, deek!

David O Russell is a fucking maniac. He's a maniac. I've actually seen a copy of a letter George wrote to him in the middle of production trying to mend fences with him, but David would have none of it. I guess the whole time Clooney was trying to keep him calm and work with him, but the dude is a such a fuckhead.

That said, I absolutely champion "Three Kings", I think it's one of the best films of the 90s. I've worked with people that worked on it, and they said it was one of the most miserable pictures they ever did. (I collect war stories, I'm a huge film nerd). They all said Russell treated the crew like shit and George was constantly sticking up for everyone. Clooney is a good dude.

And what happened to that guy? "I Heart Huckabees" was so bad I walked out of it. It was like 6 years since he'd made "Kings" and that's the piece of shit we get from him. Euuch.

I don't want to be that guy that says, "If you didn't like it, you didn't get it," but if you think it's one of the worst movies ever? Then yea, you didn't get it. You can say it wasn't that great or you didn't like it, but worst movie ever? That's a stretch. Stick to the unending Rocky sequels and Michael Bay movies and you'll be good.

1. Hey fucking asshead, DuG: Yes, when you hear three different stories from three different people that worked on a movie for 5 months straight, 60 hour weeks, you tend to believe them.

2. The letter is no secret, there's an actual photocopy of it in the book "Rebels On the Backlot" which talks about the whole incident.

3. You're right, I make up everything I say on here and I'm totally unreliable because the stupid fuck that took the picture on a disposable kodak camera lost it. It's unfathomable I could have ever met Mary Cary. And I didnt work two weeks on "Goodnight and Good Luck" either and eat lunch across from George Clooney and Robert Elswitt every day. But MARY CARY, holy shit. That's like getting a picture with the pope.

*MotherFUCK, I keep forgetting how much I hate this goddamn message board, why the hell do I come back here. DuG I can't wait until the day I find out who you are, you are gonna fucking bleed.

I don't care how talented or gifted one is at his or her Art; it does not excuse her having an ATTITUDE, like WHO they are. PEOPLE, and the RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES put them where they are, not them, themselves. For every one Lilly Tomlin, there are a thousand other ladies with the same amount of talent and ability living in obscurity because they did not have to opportunities that Lilly had when she was "discovered". Lilly might be talented but because she is another one with this chip on her shoulder, no matter how much of a "legend" she is, she STINKS! I hate celebs who have attitudes. They don't appreciate how lucky they are; BE MORE HUMBLE!
