The hearing was today, and the $2 billion acquisition was approved. For those uninformed, Citadel claimed they were going to add Opie and Anthony to some of their newly acquired ABC stations.

If CBS for some reason drops O and A they could pick up the new Citadel stations in major markets now to stay on FM. Good stuff.

Good luck with that. Mark & Brian aren't going anywhere. And I don't think O&A would do well on either of those Atlanta redneck stations. Not unless they did more of the stories about cousins using bobby pins on each other.

None of those stations seem like natural fits for O&A. A lot of the news/talk stations are traditional old-people style talk. Maybe a station or two could change formats to a more younger male friendly talk setup, like the new Pittsburgh station.
Damn it. We need O&A in Seattle. But it needs to be live. Pre-recorded shows die a quick death on the west coast.

Howards show did just fine out west, albeit on a 3 hour delay starting @ 6 am.

And most stations played it live till the replay started. Howard is kind of an exception, you could have played him tape delayed at midnight and he still would have rated well.

Watch for FreeFM LA to pick up O&A... they probably have first refusal...
