Tonight my internet service went out for most of the day due to service provider problems. Called Comcast and they told me they were working on it. While I was waiting, I was fooling around and clicked on the paltalk icon and it opened and I was on the net. Figured my service was back on so I tried to open the internet and it was still down. Called Comcast who said service was still down. I told them that I was on Paltalk and they said that was impossible. I told them I was listening and watching it right now. He told me to make sure it was live and so I decided to simply type the word test to see if it would register,. Sure enough it did and the guy from Comcast was amazed.

The next thing I know I'm being told to "DIE" by some guy named Klivian. I explained why I did what I did and I was then told to Kill myself. I ask why the tough guy act and said I was leaving and I guess I didn't leave quick enough because Klivian then has his Mod buddies bounce me from the "opie and Anthony Fan Room." Now because I dared type a single word, I am banned from the room for 24 hours.

Now can you people see why the fan base isn't growing like it should. People are sick of the bullshit that goes on with these so called groups.

I've been going into that room for over a year and never had a problem. You know why I never had a problem, it was because I never typed anything or said a word. I just listened and watched because I knew that I wasn't one of the special people who are allowed to talk. The first time I did, I get banned.

This is just a perfect example of how fans get treated by 20 something year olds who feel some sort of power in these rooms.

I'll be honest with you, I used to be a die hard fan but it's really hard to continue to be such a fan when there is a certain group of people who really have no life experience thinking that they run everything.

Hey, I've been a fan since they came to New York. I bitched and complained when I did not like what they did (and took my grief) and complimented them when they do good. Do I listen everyday, yes. Am I going to stop listening , no.

I appreciate it, It's just I'm sitting there and I get bounced, I'm pissed and there is noone around to hit, scream at or nothing, so I vented here. I felt better afterwards. My wife says I have an anger management problem. I had to do something.

God forbid O&A fans would want to help out other newer Paltalk people. Why are people so hostile to people asking for help in there? You would think they'd want as many fans of the show as possible.

See I understand the "Joke" aspect of it, but it is a power of sorts to be able to shut someone out of a room the paid for. This is the difference, we're talking about wasting someone's fucking hard earned money on some stupid online camera service just because that guy wanted to be funny, tough or just had a bug up his ass. HE PAID FOR IT. And he didn't do anything worthy of getting bounced from the room. He didn't break any Terms of Use or even individual room rules. This isn't about being "thinned skinned". Believe it or not 99.99% of the fanbase has no idea of whats appropriate and what isn't when they go into the rooms. To jump on the guy because he complained he was treated like an asshole and didn't like it is disingenuous. I've seen people who never stepped foot in there come in, ask a question and get treated like a fucking pariah because the question evidently annoyed someone. Then the pile-on starts. Gazoo, just go into the Live room in the A.M. and stay away from the Fan room. If someone gives you shit, give it right back. This isn't about being "thinned skinned". Believe it or not 99.99% of the fanbase has no idea of whats appropriate and what isn't when they go into the rooms. To jump on the guy because he complained he was treated like an asshole and didn't like it is disingenuous. I've seen people who never stepped foot in there come in, ask a question and get treated like a fucking pariah because the question evidently annoyed someone. Then the pile-on starts. Gazoo, just go into the Live room in the A.M. and stay away from the Fan room. If someone gives you shit, give it right back. Yeah have to agree Paltalk is great for LiveRoom during the show...beyond that i just never got it...i signed up for a year and used it everytime i was telecommuting to catch the show and i lurked a lot to find out what it was all about at night...to me it was just a big virtual sandbox with people acting like children, wielding 'power' and arguing over embarassingly lame stuff...when my year was up i didn't re-up...way too much drama...but i guess some people love it...just wasn't for me

Had paltalk, let it expire, too much fucking drama, too many children, and that includes the one who had to rush in to defend PT. The OnA and RnF rooms become like too damn many little cliques, yeah the live room was fine, but in many cases if your not one of the "cool kids" meaning a member of FBA, you will probably get bounced. It gets old and wasn't worth it anymore. I can honestly say that it turned me against some of the people in there and I will never be able to say anything good about them.

I understand the frustration but what else are you going to do? In the past I moderated dozens of gaming forums and I've lost track of the amount of times I wanted to throttle some smart-assed little troll but eventually I had to settle for the fact that they would get to me only if I let them. Theres also the fact that no one owes you any courtesy. The Fan and Live room are essentially privately paid for with no guarantee of "fairness".

As someone mentioned, if you go back just put a few of the mods names on your pal list in case they mistake you for a non-fan. Hang back and try to get the flavor of the room. It took me awhile but I've found the Live room and the R&F Big Ass room to my liking so thats where I hang during show times.
Lastly, theres assholes everywhere and the fanbase has more than its fair share. Just let it roll off your back or you'll end up making yourself nuts :action-sm
