Gotta ask the question. How far does this need to go before you will go out and fight, not only for O and A, but for broadcasting and society in general. This would not be a silly radio war or stunt type response. It has to be a campaign to make the voice of the majority known. The voice that says no government or group has the power to lobby and influence to make people lose their jobs for saying something that someone won't like.

Since when did the minority become more powerful than the majority? It's because the majority is not as cohesive as this smaller groups representing the majority. Our voice has become silent, while sometimes only one person's complaint dictates what will happen for the rest of us.

This is not a root, but a symptom of what is happening to our society.

If they get fired, I'm definitely gone. I only bought XM to get their show(from day 1), I only ever listen to that lately as far as XM content goes, so I have no reason to stay if they leave. If they do leave however, what next?

I think it's time they use their resources they've built over the year to break away from radio all together if they get pulled.

They have an established website (even if they can't mention it at times), they have a partner site that is very good with media distribution, and they have a rabid fan base spread over multiple sites. Stream podcasts, charge subscriptions, and make it all O & A all the time. Shouldn't have to worry about censorship on the internet, at least not yet.

But the fact of the matter is, they are NOT fired (yet:( ) And a preemptive cancellation of subs will give the impression that you are upset with XM for airing such topics. Nobody will know why you cancelled, no matter what you tell whats his name in India. If XM is going to fire them, they will do it regardless of what you or I say or do. The ONLY way to get to them is to dump their shit AFTER they do what we don't want. It will not bring them back if we all cancel our subs, but if however many O&A fans there are out there jump ship they will realize they fucked up and lose a ton of money.

If we were to cancel prior to any action being taken, the only way I can see them interpreting that information is that we are pissed with O&A. Maybe that is wrong, but if we all dump subs now then no one will listen to O&A. They know who listens to what channels, and they will see O&A's numbers go through the shitter and have no recourse but to fire them to save face. If we all listen, and get all the publicity which will let others know they are still up to their old shinannigans their numbers will go through the roof and they can't justify a firing (although they don't need justification).

I bought XM to get talk shows that are on regular radio, just to see what the hype was about. Years later, the great music and O&A have kept me tuned in.

Today, those talk shows are on regular FM radio on the statewide talk network. The music I can get already through DirecTV. If O&A get canned from XM, I will not hesitate to cancel. They're the only thing right now keeping me subscribed.
