Never heard Bubba's show, don't really know who he is. But this is some horseshit.

Is there anyone in this fucking country in a "prominent" position who will stand up for guys like the boys, imus and Bubba?

It's the end of days folks, it's all coming down now.

Good show, tons of "stunts", they do a good job of getting physical comedy to work over the radio.

I did not hear this particular bit but it sounds very tame in comparison to what they played over terrestrial radio back in Tampa.

I wouldn't know Opie from Anthony or vice versa, but I agree with their and everyone's right to free speech and that is why I am here.

Someone at the same website as the original post disagrees....quite strongly in fact:
Jack Ryan Chill Out: Opie And Anthony, Bubba, Stern Witch Hunt
By Staff
May 11, 2007

Jack Ryan vs. Opie And Anthony, Bubba The Love Sponge And Howard Stern. Jack Ryan seems to feel that shock jocks like Opie And Anthony, Bubba The Love Sponge and Howard Stern will eventually kill the XM/Sirius merger.
In Ryan's article, he doesn't substantiate his claims, only his paranoia of those who wish to freely speak their mind.
Bubba's show in particular is not only on a pay service but it is also in an adult area of the service. The only way anyone hears it that would be offended is by writing a story about it and linking to pirated audio.

Now people are offended. It was not intended for those to hear it but because of you and others like you that choose to force your morals on others that increased the odds of some child somewhere hearing it. Or anyone else who would find it offensive for that matter.

Comedy is comedy. It's not yelling fire in a theater Ryan. Grow up and take the loss on your stock but shut the f*ck up!

Jim Brogan's opinions are his own and do not necessarily reflect those of the Post Chronicle.

All I ever knew of him was that he was a Stern guy, and while I have never actually hear Howard's show (I only just started on O&A a year ago because my car had XM in it) I hope that the situation that we are in right now let whatever radio wars that have gone down in the past be put aside for the time being......except for that *can't think of a word strong enough to describe this cock smoker* Mancow.

I love a good show bashing just as much as the next guy, but if this shit continues we'll have no actual shows to bash anymore, only Sounds from the Ocean live on XM 24/7.

He was saying he got the news from several sources, including Stern. Even if you hate Stern, he still knows a lot of people in radio (including hanging around with Tom Chiusano) so it's not a totally bogus source. O&A's sign off today should let you know that they have a pretty good idea of what's coming as well.

He talked to Howard and I'm pretty sure that Howard knew last night where execs at both companies stood last night. Of course this was before the apology which may have saved the show. Both companies are desperate to get this merger done and would sacrifice O&A to smooth the process. All my opinion of course.

You are of course being sarcastic. The reality is Howard is well connected with senior mgt and is obsessed behind the scenes with his competitors. He talked about Imus an hour a day for a week and admitted on air that he is overly interested with the situation. Even O&A said on Letterman that Howard has done some very dirty politicking behind the scenes to try to get them dumped from markets.

Sirius and XM have working committees with the main objective being to get the deal done. Either Ross or Tim Bulldog Sabien is on them and Howard is always in the loop with those two.

Nobody said (except you) that O&A's fate rests in Stern's hands. Just saying that Howard is very well connected in the industry. Hell, he was at a dinner with Tom Chiusano just last week. Stern has been in radio for 30 years- you're crazy if you don't think he gets inside info. Beyond that, O&A's sign off today made it pretty clear that they've heard the same rumors.

You can stop giving Howard credit for still being a driving force in radio opinion. No one gives a shit what that wigged bestiality practicing jew thinks except for his "friend" Mel Karmazi...

NO ONE IS CALLING HIM FOR AN OPINION ON WHAT SHOULD BE DONE.

they MIGHT want to know what he thinks of the situation in general, but management isnt retarded enough (and neither is howard) to spout about this shit on the air.

You are spinning (never mentioned Howard being a driving force) and don't understand or in denial of my point. My point is that the execs at both companies talk all the time and Howard's obcessiveness with his connections would drive him to know exactly what is going on. And my best guess is that Howard is politicking to get his team including Tim Sabien and Ross to run the new shock team at the new company and squash O&A. Whether Bubba is exaggerating is a relevant point.
