At least this time, CBS came out and actually supported O&A (insofar as saying they would not be removed). I don't think they ever said the same thing about Imus a few weeks back. With Imus, it was they apologized ->suspended him-> fired him.

Now CBS would have to make a complete about-face and go from supporting the show, to firing them.

XM did throw them completely under the bus.

I think the it broke on a Thursday helps. Weekends are tough times to keep a story running strong. If this broke on a Monday, I think it would've been worse. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed.
