Once again, if Rev Al get's involved we need to look at the African American Community.. Black comedians, black radio shows, black leaders all take shots at Rice..If you watch BET for any length of time you will hear a trashing. When I saw Chappelle he took shots at her, similar to Charlies..
That is why homeless Charlie was so funny, he was just a 'black' homeless guy saying the same thing that the community is saying..It was funny because most homeless make no sense, yet he was coherent and sounded like an actual comic.. He sounded like a homeless Prior.. It was funny, and I stand behind it..

Sharpton's a big problem because he started it all, but it's really the media who are the problem. Ever since they discovered that the Imus thing was an extremely divisive issue and got them huge ratings, they're just dying for more of the same. It's amazing how they get on TV and blab and remain completely ignorant of the fact that they're holding radio to a different standard. I'm not sure if I agree with ant about his reasons for that. I think it's strictly monetary. What worked once should work again. Bunch of sharks at a frenzy.
I would love it if Sharpton got involved. I think they'd invite him on the show to talk about it just like with Imus, only this time it'd be the boys and they'd rip him to pieces.

I saw Rev. Al on Hannity & Colmes last night being his inimitable self . During the "debate" I thought Bernard McGuirk was going to smack Rev. Al. The problem with dealing with Rev. Al is that he operates outside the rules the rest of society has to contend with.

the only reason why he would do it is in response to the black right that are calling him a hypocrite for not protecting Rice... The black community will not stand up for Rice (which speaks volumes) the same way they will the Rutgers team or Duke prostitute..

dont' get me wrong, i think that rev al should keep his nose out of this, but it is interesting that he sticks up for hookers and people who are probably only in college because of their jump shot yet he won't stick up for a member of mensa who speaks 5 languages and was the provost at stanford....he is really making a good example to young black kids and showing them who deserves support and who doesn't

Sharpton needs to go and hide somewhere for the sake of his own personal safety. I am IN NO WAY suggesting, or condoning violence against him, I am simply expressing an opinion. This guy has had entirely too much face time on camera lately and he's going to piss off the wrong lunatic sooner or later.
The First (and Second) Amendment have come under massive attack in the last month, we're living in some very disturbing times. We're on the verge of setting some very, very dangerous precidends. I'm almost glad this is all coming to a head but, I certainly wouldn't want to be on the "wrong side" of this one which Sharpton clearly is.

I saw Hannity and Colmes last night too. How does Sharpton get away with answering question with his own questions? It's his way of shift the focus off of him and something he can't answer into his own bullet point. I also thought Benard was going to headbutt him.

Theres a good chance Sharpton won't do a thing because:
a.) Rice is a conservative and a huge part of the much hated current administration and
b.) Charlie is a knitter
While i don't put it past Sharpton to swoop in a begin his antics I would lean towards fatty not taking a chance of having this blow up in his pumpernickel face.

how does sharpton get away ith saying that they both (the guy from imus's show and sharpton) had to suffer because of their comments. Sharpton listed two bullshit things that had no affect on him (he lost two supporters and had to appologize or something). how does that compare with losing your job? and for a "reverand," he is not a very forgiving person. what branch of Christianity lets a racist prick like al sharpton be a reverend in their church?

I really wish XM would stand up for free speach instead of bending over because of the potential merger... If anyone dissects what really happened, you would see that there was no harm done, nothing said was in a hateful manner...
Here's what Sharpton's going to do... make a press statement, the end.
The object of the segment was in a position of authority (not some hood rat), and the White House already said they won't dignify it with a response.
Maybe, MAYBE, if they hadn't passed on a comment, Sharpton would chime in more, but they already stated their position.
Sharpton doesn't have a horse in this race.

The reason I think Rev. Al will pursue it is that he'll think it will benefit him to go after the show because of the criticism of a Republican. He thinks that will get him up the butt of the Republicans and give him better light and power in their eyes. He doesn't do anything unless it benefits him.

Sharpton back in the spotlight
As word spread about the fate of JV and Elvis, more than 100 people turned out for a Union Square rally to offer support for those two, Imus and other radio personalities under fire.
"It's not about whether you like what you heard or not," said Debbie Wolf, president of People Against Censorship. "I find censorship to be far more offensive than anything that was said."
The Rev. Al Sharpton, who played a major role in Imus' ouster, said Saturday that he wanted to meet with Hughes and Cumia's bosses at XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. over the **** comments on their show.
"My personal feeling is they should have already been fired," said Sharpton, who one night earlier had debated Imus producer Bernard McGuirk on the Fox News Channel. McGuirk was also fired from WFAN-AM.
McGuirk called Sharpton a "race-baiter" looking for attention when he led the campaign to fire Imus. Sharpton replied that Imus and McGuirk got what they deserved for making racist, sexist comments on the air.
This is fucking getting out of control with so called moral standards. Fuck, XM 202 is an XL channel. I wonder how many listeners in XM would go back to paying extra for the Bbbbbbbbbboy's? I would & I have 5 subs.

The doggy company has Football, better music (IMO) and much better talk radio other than O&A. This would make the decission for me.

Al Sharpton should be in jail. Usually you can't judge a book by its cover, but one look at the guy, and you know that he's a thief and a liar. How in the hell does "Reverend" Al get by with changing the subject every time he's under attack? When Bernard confronted him last night with some of the rotten, hypocritical things that he's done in the past, he changed the subject saying, "it's not about that". No Al, it's never about you is it?! God forbid we examine the credibility of the person who's accusing others of being racist and immoral.
Anthony, or anyone directly associated with the show, if you read this, please do not pull any punches on Monday. Attack and expose that nappy-headed jig for all he's worth.

From Wiki:
Tawana Brawley controversy
See also: Tawana Brawley
On November 28, 1987, Tawana Brawley, a 15-year-old black girl, was found smeared with feces, lying in a garbage bag, her clothing torn and burned and with various slurs and epithets written on her body in charcoal. Brawley claimed she had been assaulted and ***** by six white men, some of them police officers, in the village of Wappingers Falls, New York.
Attorneys Alton H. Maddox and C. Vernon Mason joined Sharpton in support of Brawley. A grand jury was convened; after seven months of examining police and medical records, the jury determined that Brawley had fabricated her story. Sharpton, Maddox and Mason accused the Dutchess County prosecutor, Steven Pagones, of racism and of being one of the perpetrators of the alleged abduction and ****. The three were successfully sued for slander and ordered to pay $345,000 in damages, the jury finding Sharpton liable for making seven defamatory statements about Pagones, Maddox for two and Mason for one.
Crown Heights Riot
On August 19, 1991, the Crown Heights Riot occurred after a car accident involving the motorcade for the Lubavitcher Rebbe, killing a young boy named Gavin Cato. A riot was sparked after a private Hasidic ambulance came to the scene and, on the orders of a police officer, removed the Hasidic driver from the scene. Gavin and his cousin Angela were picked up soon after by a city ambulance. Caribbean-American and African-American residents of the neighborhood then rioted for four consecutive days fueled by rumors that the private ambulance had refused to treat young Gavin. A visiting rabbinical student from Australia by the name of Yankel Rosenbaum, 29, was killed during the rioting by a mob shouting "Kill the Jew." Sharpton has been seen by some commentators as inflaming tensions with remarks such as "If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house" and referring to Jews as "diamond merchants."
Sharpton marched through Crown Heights and in front of "770", shortly after the riot, with about 400 protesters (who chanted "Whose streets? Our streets!" and "No justice, no peace!"), in spite of Mayor David Dinkins' attempts to keep the march from happening.
Freddie's Fashion Mart
In 1995, Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the plans of a black Pentecostal Church, the United House of Prayer, which owned the retail property on 125th Street to ask Fred Harari, the Jewish tenant who operated Freddie's Fashion Mart to evict his longtime subtenant, a black record store, The Record Shack. Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." On 1995-12-08, Roland J. Smith Jr., one of the protesters, entered the store with a gun and flammable liquid, shot several Jewish customers and employees inside the store and burned it down. He killed seven in the store, and himself. Sharpton claimed that the perpetrator was an open critic of himself and his nonviolent tactics. Sharpton later expressed regret for making the racial reference, "white interloper," and denied responsibility for inflaming or provoking the violence.
LoanMax spokesman
In November 2005, Sharpton appeared in advertisements for LoanMax, an automobile title loan company. Sharpton was criticized for appearing in the ads, as LoanMax has been accused of predatory lending charging fees, and for marketing them to primarily poor, urban and African American audiences. The ads featuring Sharpton were run in predominantly African American markets.
On December 7, 2005, he ended his relationship with LoanMax. In a letter to Rod Aycox, LoanMax president and chief executive officer, Sharpton said, "I respectfully, but firmly decline your offer for further engagement on my part, and will not engage in any business relationship to promote auto lending with LoanMax." Sharpton said he had not done the research before agreeing to the commercials.
Duke lacrosse players
In April, 2006, Sharpton went on the public stage calling for the prosecution of three white Duke lacrosse players who had been accused of sexually assaulting an African American woman, Crystal Gail Mangum, who was hired as a stripper at an off-campus party. Sharpton appeared on The O'Reilly Factor, taking the side of the Ms. Mangum and defending prosecutor Michael Nifong, saying "I know this DA is probably not one that is crazy. He would not have proceeded if he did not feel that he could convict. So it tells me that all of what you said is either not true or he has convincing evidence that would certainly knock that out." The accused players were later exonerated in light of evidence that the Ms. Mangum was lying; DA Nifong, was removed from the case and is facing possible disbarment for unethical conduct. Sharpton refuses to apologize.
Response to Don Imus' slur
On April 7, 2007, Sharpton called for the firing of radio host Don Imus. On his morning radio show, Imus in the Morning, the host had referred to the women's basketball team at Rutgers University as "nappy-headed hoes." On April 9, Imus appeared on Sharpton's radio show. Again, Sharpton indicated that Imus should be fired, asking Imus if he was ready to sign his resignation. The following morning, Imus and Sharpton went head to head once again on NBC's Today Show. On April 11, MSNBC dropped its simulcast of the show. On April 12, Imus was fired by CBS, effective immediately. Some, including The Kansas City Star journalist Jason Whitlock, have criticized Sharpton for using the situation "to step on victim platforms and elevate themselves and their agenda" when he should instead be focusing on other issues like the effects of hip-hop culture such as gangsta rap. Whitlock further accused Sharpton and Jesse Jackson of "exploiting [the Rutger's women's basketball team], making [...] the problems much bigger than what they should be." Sharpton has received death threats from angry fans of Don Imus' show, causing him to increase personal security.
Accusations of racism, homophobia, and bigotry
Many conservative and liberal commentators have accused Sharpton of being racist and homophobic. Sharpton was quoted as saying to an audience at Kean College in 1994 that, “White folks was in caves while we was building empires ... We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.” Sharpton defended his comments by noting that the term “homo” was not homophobic but added that he no longer uses the term. Sharpton's defenders have said that the the quote is often used out of context to undermine Sharpton's image. Sharpton has since called for an end to perceived homophobia in the African-American community. On May 8th, 2007 Sharpton was accused of bigotry in his remarks against presidential candidate Mitt Romney's religion (Mormon). Sharpton said:
"As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that; that's a temporary situation."
Romney's spokesperson told the papers, "America is a nation of many faiths and common values, and bigotry toward anyone because of their beliefs is unacceptable." On May 9th, 2007, Al Sharpton appeared on Paula Zahn NOW on CNN and stated that his views on Mormonism were based on their traditionally racist views regarding blacks and the so-called "Curse of Ham". However the Catholic League (!), is calling for the end of Sharpton's career in regards these remarks . Al Sharpton recently appeared on the Glenn Beck Television program to discuss his comments about Moronism. Glenn Beck a professed Mormon wanted Al Sharpton to explain his apparent bigotted statements about Mormonism. During the program Al Sharpton said he plans on visiting some of the Mormon leaders to learn more about the religion and apologized for any Mormon's he may have hurt by his comments.

That was the most infuriating 'debate' I've seen in a loooong time. Did you see Sharpton's face when presented with questions he'd rather not answer? I thought he was gonna git up and walk off the set a few times.
The same thing would happen if they had him on the show. The bbboys wouldn't even get a chance to go for the jugular because they'd bring up one legitimate controversy from his past and he'd mouth off, "if we can't talk about the situation at hand, I'm outta here." And that'd be it.
It'd be better for them to just spend one good segment tearing apart him, the media and this notion that people who weren't offended should be protected from being offended in the first place. By now, they oughta be good at this stuff.

Opie and Anthony are done. Bill O'Rielly said they were worst than Porn. This is his new project, getting them fired. He is going after CBS and then XM. Rev Al is going to steam role them along with XM 169. They will be sacrificed for the merger to go through. Rev AL is the modern day Gorgias.
Perhaps your predictions would be taken a bit more seriously if, at least, you knew how to spell.
It's O'Reilly, not "O'Rielly."
You should also brush up on your grammar.

Here is how next week is going to play. Fox and the right wing media are pissed because they feel that the left(Rev Al and Jesse) are not protesting like they did Imus. The left including NOW and other women's groups will go ahead and defend the poor defenseless women. So, that is both groups against CBS, XM and O&A. Some Republican Senator will comment on the Sunday shows and the FCC will make a little comment. The merger will be put in danger and O&A won't make it to Friday. THE END

Love the fact XM won't meet with Al. First of all, in the comments made there was no mention Al. So why the hell they should they even talk to him? If it was Condi I'd unnderstand.
And number 2, seems that whenever Al mets with a radio show's company then that show ain't coming back.
As for the merger, like I've said before there is alot of BIGGER issues than just this incident that is standing in the way of the merger. I'm more worried about the merger itself than the incident's effect on it. Maybe if for some reason this stops the merger(like that'll happen), O&A probably did us all a favor and killed Sirius all in one swoop.
Just sayin.....

Alright, you know I had to go back in an take you off but anyway. You just seem to have this one all figured out don't you?
1. CBS is NOT involved in any of this right now except for Trojan and NY Lotto pulling ads. NY Lotto was only in reaction to JV and Elvis.
2. Fox is trying to make this a story but their split on it. Hannity and Shepard Smith are on our side. Plus, it's not really major news as it was. . .they can only prattle on about it so much. Women's groups haven't so much as batted an eye in our direction. If you listen, **** isn't really mentioned directly and the Secretary of State, First Lady, and Queen aren't really defenseless at all.
3. As far as Sunday goes, I think there's bigger things on John McCain's mind for his "Meet The Press" appearance than this. Chuck Hagel on "Face the Nation" is on the FOREIGN relations committee, not his fortay. That'll be all about immigration and Iraq. Guliani's on "Fox News Sunday" this one could stir something up but Guliani doesn't have any real direct power. Mostly just stumping for the white house. And Obama's on ABC This Week who doesn't like Sharpton anyway. So, Sunday's not looking too bad.
4. The FCC has bigger fish to fry in regards to the merger than one line of one day of one XM program. Especially one that hasn't rippled too deep into America's consciousness so far.
So, your little CSI investigation isn't really that well thought out.

As far as I'm concerned the only reason they would get fired at this point would be Mel and his precious merger. Mel exists as CEO of Sirius for one reason, to make money. Mel would not have gone after the merger if it was not in the best interest of Sirius. In my opinion O&A staying depends solely on if this incident effects the merger in a negative way. Also this merger has been on shakey ground long before this incident. If XM feels that the merger isn't going to happen now I doubt that they will sacrifice the boys to please Mel. Sure XM will be pissed but they have got a shitload of free press and have quite a few subs to lose by firing O&A.

I've been watching Fox news for the last 2 hours or so and the only mention of Rev. Al has been about his comments about mormons. Only one quick mention about O&A and that was actually not bad at all. The R word was not used in the segment and it was made very clear that the comments were made by a homeless guest.
While I was writing this post Fox just reported that Sharpton was headed to Utah to meet with Mormon leaders, so it looks like he is too busy to worry about the boys at the moment.

I was pretty sure O'Reilly lost all his credibility after the sexual harassment deal . . . I guess not. I also thought ole Al would loose his credibility after the Tawana Brawley case . . . again I guess not.
The point is who the fuck are these assholes to say anything about fucking anyone? What they both did is clearly way worse, at least to me, than what happened on the OnA show, which I still regard as fucking radio gold. I laughed my fuckin balls off when I was listening to this.
Im starting to think this has nothing to do with what was said and a hell of a lot more to do with the way this fucking society is going to hell in a bucket. I dont know about you people but I sure as hell aint enjoyin the ride either.
Imus gets canned for saying "nappy haired ho's" -- We had to know it was just a matter of time before this shit spread and it certainly fucking has, hasnt it? JV and Elvis, OnA and even that self important cocksucker blimp Bubba the Love Sponge.
Somebody has to stand up and take a fucking stand or radio will be nothing, bland morning zoo's will become even more vanilla and holes will dominate. Im very close to cancelling XM just to try to teach them a lesson that they are real assholes for not supporting the boys, and liars to the audience and customers as they boast of a sensor free talk and then pull this shit.
My closing thought to this rant that I never should have had to give is, if this whole ordeal were to happen to Hoo Hoo, do you think Sirius would be pansies about it or do you think they would back him? Would they make him apologize and put a link to that apology and then put another show on the front page? Say Bubba? Hey I LOVE R&F, barely ever miss a show, but this would be a great time for XM to stand up and put the boys on the front page. Cowards one and all.
Whoever started the thread that said we should call a truce with Stern fans is right, just for the sake of protecting free fucking speech on a god damned subscription medium. Something has to be done and we pest may be just the losers to do it.

The two entertained a homeless guest's rantings on ****** Condoleezza Rice, Laura Bush and Queen Elizabeth. Executives from both CBS Radio and XM Satellite Radio said the controversial pair will be back on the air Monday.
The two apologized for their tasteless skit.
"We're taking what happened very, very seriously," a chastened Opie - Gregg Hughes - said on air.
The nonsense began when the two rang "Homeless Charlie" who said on their show that he'd "love to f**k that b***h" after each of the prominent women's names was brought up.
The ensuing guffaws from the sophomoric Opie and Anthony who elaborated on "the horror" Rice would feel as she was assaulted by a homeless man.
The Rev. Al Sharpton called the stunt "ugly and outrageous," said he would meet with his associates today to discuss whether they'll call for Opie and Anthony's firing.
Satellite radio plays by a whole different set of rules than terrestrial radio, it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it.

Doesn't Re. Al have a radio show? Perhaps we should inform his sponsors that we will boycott their products if they continue to run ads on his show in light of his comments about Mormons.
Here's a list of stations that air his show.
http://sharptontalk.net/showschedule.html
The station in DC doesn't list its sponsors, but there is a promo for a Papa John's deal on there. That's one. The other stations don't list advertisers (except for the one in Cleveland, which doesn't even list Fat Albert as one of its shows). Maybe people who live in those cities can take one for the team and listen to his station for a little while to find out who's advertising.

It kills me that Al isn't even on the air in the city that he lives in. I think we should start using the same tactics that Al is using. We should start calling those "Public" radio stations that air his show and demand that he be taken off because of the Mormon comments, if Imus's apology wasn't good enough, then his shouldn't be either. We should get together a list of all the sponsers of his radio show and call them, email them to the point where they pull thier commercials. Let's see how Al enjoys his own tactics.

they're : contraction of they are.
their –pronoun
1. a form of the possessive case of they used as an attributive adjective, before a noun: their home; their rights as citizens; their departure for Rome.
there –adverb
1. in or at that place (opposed to here): She is there now.
2. at that point in an action, speech, etc.: He stopped there for applause.
3. in that matter, particular, or respect: His anger was justified there.

This is how bad it is getting in this country from the IMDB.com:
Protests Come Early to Disney's 'Princess'
Almost two years before its hoped-for release of its first hand-drawn animated film produced under the supervision of Pixar's John Lasseter, Disney has already drawn fire for alleged racial and ethnic insensitivities that were detected in its original announcement of the film, according to Disney watcher Jim Hill. Since the original title, The Frog Princess, might be regarded as a slur on the French, the title has been changed to The Princess and the Frog. The main character, named Maddy -- who was to become Disney's first black princess -- has had her name changed to Tiana, since Maddy reportedly sounded too much like Mammy. She will no longer be seen as a chambermaid working for a rich, white spoiled Southern débutante. In a statement, Disney, which said that it ordinarily does not comment on its animated films in the early stages of production, observed: "The story takes place in the charming elegance and grandeur of New Orleans' fabled French Quarter during the Jazz Age. ... Princess Tiana will be a heroine in the great tradition of Disney's rich animated fairy tale legacy, and all other characters and aspects of the story will be treated with the greatest respect and sensitivity."

I think the best thing to happen would be a meeting between E-Lo and Sharpton, the awful hair-do's on both sides would distract the media

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Loofa falaffal AKA Bill O'Liely

THE END
I guess this will get me banned again. But, banning me won't stop the game from being played. And you guys are going up against the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls of scammers.

from what sharpton said on cnn tonight, his plan is more along the lines of using this example, along with others no doubt, to pressure satellite to make concessions during the merger process.
standards with its content, along with hiring minority employees. if jackson is there you can bet he expects a nice contribution to the rainbow coalition, also known as his family bank account.

OH! You both are here. I guess it is time for you to remind you that you both should read the FAQ (http://www.wackbag.com/faq.php) before you do something stupid which is very likely given your1 comments and your2 actions.

Note the date I said this. I didn't make anything up, I just study the political climate.

If there's one thing we can all learn from this mess, it's this: It's perfectly acceptable to intentionally lie to the media about :rap:, but joking without ever saying :rap: is a horrible, awful thing to do.

I am not a Swoogie!
What's with all the anti-black sentiment on this board? If I hadn't grown up in Bensonhurst with world-class racist I might be offended.
Well, my mom is Sicilian so I guess I am part Swoogie.
