I was very disappointed when I heard I Don't Want To Stop, it is a very cheesy, poppy song. Love Ozzy, but it really is probably time for him to hang it up.

But Don't Wanna Stop is pretty cool. To Vic Mackey up above, it's defintiely poppy and cheesy, but there's not much wrong with poppy really. Pretty damn catchy.

I have to say I was less than impressed with "I Don't Wanna Stop."

That being said, I'll most likely still get it. I know, it's probably gonna suck balls but there's usually a few decent songs on every one of his albums.

That or bit torrent, whatever comes 1st.

here's my unvalued opinion broken down track-by-track:
1. not going away- ok song as an opener, kind says "i've been doing this shit for 40 years and i'm still here".

2. i don't wanna stop- decent song, worked good for wwe judgement day. i could see it being used for a wrestling or racing video game.

3. black rain- i'm liking this one. sounds like a conglomeration of "ozzy through the years". starts off kind of droning with a harmonica so had a sabbath feel, rest sounds like a randy rhoads riff played by zakk. nice song but sounds like it has a political, anti-war spin to the lyrics

4. lay your world on me- sounds like aleftover from the "no more tears" sessions rerecorded. ok song

5. the almighty dollar- my favorite song on the album. has a nine inch nails/manson type sound to it to me but i'm definately diggin the vocal performance/production.

6. 11 silver- basic rock beat and riffs with a nice little bass line to it.

7. civilize the universe- ballad-esque song. it's ok but the lyrics sound like their from the "bette midler hair ozzy" era

8. her for you- ok song. nothing special though

9. countdown's begun- second least favorite on the album. i would have rather seen a cover of "the final countdown" here

10. trap door- zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. see why this is the last track.


overall i'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. as an ozzy fan, moreso a zakk fan, this album does tend to explore different sounds and arrangements that stray from the standard "intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus-outro" format of rock, so for the diehards it may not be what you're used to or expecting zakk had a little experimentation with his talkbox, evh phase 90 and mini moog. i'll transferprobably 7 of the 10 songs to the ol ozzy file on the ipod.

I got the CD yesturday and loved it. I might be a bigger fan boy then Jimmy so my option might be bias but I love I dont wanna stop.

I got the album today, i just started listening to it and as far as track 2 i'm pretty complacent about it, but i swear to god if any of these news songs sound anything like "Dreamer" i'm gonna stop calling myself an ozzy fan.

I think Ozzy Cd's got pretty much meh, awhile back....I dont think he is utilizing Zach 's talents enough and the songs sound milled.

But, I gotta say that old fucker still kicks ass... His voice is still there. To bad Sharon has him making money instead of music.


I hate to complain though,,, I love Oz and he has brought so much great music to my life... free pass bro.

All I've heard so far is "I Don't Wanna Stop", and this is what I have to say.

Shame on you, Ozzy. What an embarrasment of a song.

But more importantly, shame on Jim Norton and any other Ozzy fan that is making apologies for how awful this song is. Seriously, I enjoyed some of the songs on the new Paul McCartney album more than this, it's that bad.
