Great show tonight in Tampa. Two sets with Dark Side of the Moon the opening of set 2. As good of a show as I have seen the last several years. Interesting political messages too, some which are not popular in the U.S., but the irony was when they floated the giant pig with several written comments on it including "Impeach Bush" it got caught in the overhead structure and deflated.

Hating Bush? Going out on a limb out there Roger?

Ugh. I'm a HUGE Roger Waters fan, and even more so a Floyd fan. But his politics have always annoyed me. Shut up and play Dark Side of the Moon Roge-O. I mean he made a whole album about the Falklands War.

Would love to see Roger Waters live...playing floyd that is....I had one of his solo albums a few years back..something about a hitchhiker or something....worst albumn ever! Had some shitty, Rap like songs...awful ind of techno.

Its all about Syd Barret...although he is dead.

Love Roger Waters/Pink Floyd, but I hate it when musicians try to get up on the ole soapbox and get all political. Just sing and play, stupid. That's all the people bought their tickets for, Maaaa-aaaan!:icon_wink

Roger has always been a political hardass, but his problem is that he needs to let the songs speak for themselves and at the same time not go overboard. There are some really great song on the Final Cut that do just that. Id love to see Roger. Id rather see Roger than Dave, at least with Roger you know he wrote all the songs. Gilmour is just a great guitar player.

Have never seen Roger in concert, which is a shame. I do have all of his solo shit and occasionally throw it on. The politics are annoying, though.

I have to say though, a while back (like 7 or 8 years ago), Mancow had him in studio to bitch at a 'ticket broker'. THAT was actually some good radio by Mancow. Roger wasn't taking any shit from the sleezebag.

Roger Waters is a genius.
I love listening to live shows from the 70s where Roger will just start screaming at the fans, telling them to shut up, to go outside if you want to shout and scream, etc.
Spitting on fans, he's great.

The Final Cut is an underrated PF/Waters Album by the way, I love it.
I'm a much bigger fan of the "Water Albums" (Animals, The Wall, Final Cut, and I'll credit him with DSOTM...)

Compare those to Gilmour's shitty elevator music album The Division Bell he put out under the PF name. And his latest disaster "On an Island", which I was looking forward too, and just Stunk.

I personally like Water's politics, I even like the opera he did Ca Ira and "Leaving Beirut" which I don't think many liked.

I'd love to see him, but I'd have to go to Chicago and pay a little more than I'm willing to.
The only thing that I think is lame about him is that he usually will play the same sets over and over for the entire tour. I guess I'm used to completely ramdom song selection from big song banks.

Have no idea why every single time someone brings up a band, or an actor, or some entertainer there's always the hanger-on's who have to inject commentary about everything but what the subject is.

It's that need to be the one person to throw a pebble at the party as if someone cares. If you don't like Roger Waters, or anyone else for all it matters it's fine, but why believe it matters to the overwhelming collective of people who do?

Now that's something I can get behind. It's ridiculous the price of tickets these days.
