Ok People, we had a pretty good week, we made a bit of a statement, and we're starting to attract attention.

Sadly most of us that are going to cancel have done so by now, there will be stragglers, but the main thrust is probably over.

We have written to XM and they have chosen to ignore us.

We have had our cancellation calls ignored and had accounts suspended instead (this will come back to bite them in the ass)

We have had our emails answered with an automated response system rather than a person and the evidence is in the response they sent.

By no means does this end the game, we just need to take it to the next level.

We still need to pressure all XM sponsers with a constant barrage of emails, phone calls, and preferably snail mail as this has to be opened and read as opposed to mass email dumping that we are undoubtedly incurring.

We have a very important meeting coming up for XM on the 25th of June (please corrrrect this date if it is wrong), it is IMPERATIVE that we do NOT resubscribe to XM until AFTER that meeting regardless of whether they put the buh buh buh boys back on before then or not. We need to make them explain the loss in subs to their Board of Directors.

Speaking of their Board of Directors, they are the next target in the offensive, we must all write to them individually with our stories regarding:

Our subs not being cancelled in a timely fashion.

How we have been deceived by XM's advertising of an uncensored format, and how that has caused us all to spend hundreds of dollars on equipment that is no longer of any use to us (this will send up the class action lawsuit flags to all of them)

How we feel about our attempts at discourse with XM over the current situation being summarily ignored and answered by automated systems that aren't even addressing the correct issue in their response to us.

Finally we need to express our absolute displeasure with the entire situation at hand and explain to them that the handling of this situation has cost them all of our loyalty, support, and patronage of XM under it's current management.

XM management won't listen to us because they have no real reason to, they will however listen intently to the board because they have no choice, the board can fire any and all of them.

When writing to the board members you MUST, I REPEAT MUST be courteous, polite, and respectful, use spell check, no cursing, and no fucking cock pics.

I know alittle bit about this shit as my wife is the CEO of a Biotech company.

I will be getting the Directors info and I will post it when I have it along with my letter to them which you can use as a template if you so desire.

We need one unified thread for contact information. Maybe someone with thread making priveleges can assemble all the information in other threads and put it together in one bold sticky so that we have one solid list of email addresses for advertisers, media people, XM management, as well as phone numbers and addresses for phone calls and snail mail. Anybody up to the task?

I think we should try to start bringing down other "filth" and hold everyone else to the same standards that O&A were held at, then people will see how stupid this whole thing is.

Look at this....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ushi8-dRlvg

Last night, SNL portrayed politicians saying horrible things, but one in particular stood out. They made McCain say "I rubbed my nuts on Nancy Pelosi"... along with a slew of other "filthy" comments that are just as bad and even worse then what O&A said. How come the media isn't on this? This is broadcast TV too! It's free, you don't have to pay for it. Yet SNL gets away with it.

I'm new, so I couldn't post this in a new thread, but this is something we should do, someone make this into a new thread or stick it. It's not right to have this double standard. We need to attack SNL the same way O&A were attacked. Email CNN, FOX etc. Let them know how "filthy" this was.

It's animated man....they can say anything they want.;)

The last thing we need it more censorship, but, yes a great example of the contradictions we have been seeing lately.

I think I follow your logic (SNL has a bigger fan base, so if they get taken to task, maybe everyone will suddenly see the absurdity of all of this), but the downside is that if it backfires, we're all watching/listenting to the 24 hour/day Barney channel. It might be worth it to point this out to a blogger with a big audience somewhere and having him/her ask the what's the difference question.

Your Board/management distiction is an important one. As is the FCC (radio)/FTC (mergers/antitrust) disctinction.

Exactly, I didn't literally mean MORE censorship. Everyone knows SNL, it's way more mainstream than O&A. it would get so much more attention and would be well defended. It would "stir the pot" (in a good way though).

I'm definitely not "doesn't get it guy". The guys replaying with "its animated/parody...its fine", are the REAL "doesn't get it guys". Technically it SHOULD be fine, but when you are comparing it to what O&A are suspended for, it's the same fucking thing.

Excellent idea. We need to get any email addresses of the Board directors and email them our displeasure. The one thing to point out is that with these people need to get coherent well written emails and no Ramone type things if any get my drift.

Hmmm...finding contact info on these guys isn't as easy as it should be, but so far I've got this:

Gary M. Parsons
Chairman of the Board
XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc.
1500 Eckington Place
Washington, DC 20002

Now I know that we have some rather savvy web users in here that are alot more adept at finding contact info than I am so if you guys can please help getting mailing addresses for:

Gary M. Parsons
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Hugh Panero
Chief Executive Officer and Member, Board of Directors

Nathaniel A. Davis
President, Chief Operating Officer and Member, Board of Directors

Joan Amble
Member, Board of Directors

Thomas J. Donohue
Member, Board of Directors

Eddy W. Hartenstein
Member, Board of Directors

Chester A. Huber, Jr.
Member, Board of Directors

John Mendel
Member, Board of Directors

Jarl Mohn
Member, Board of Directors

Jack Shaw
Member, Board of Directors

Jeffrey D. Zients
Member, Board of Directors

It would really help out.

Obviously there is no need to contact Panero and Davis as they run XM and are the very people that are ignoring us and causing these problems in the first place.

Aaaaannnnnnnnnnttttttttt Wrong!

My first post was a little harsh and too literal, it's hard sometimes when all you have is text. Plus i'm a little tipsy right now and sometimes ol' Craig gets a little upset when he's tipsy.

WHAT I REALLY MEANT was to get the media to question why is this SNL bit ok...and O&A isn't?...it's more of a question to put out there and get people talking about it.

It's similar to the Imus incident, where the question was put out "how come blacks can say these things and whites can't". The media didn't even handle it that well though, but at least the idea was put out there.

With O&A though, no one in the media is really questioning why O&A couldn't say these things but other people like SNL can. I don't care if it was animation/parody, it was on a free broadcast FCC regulated channel and the dude said "rub my nuts on nancy pelosi". That WAS HILARIOUS, but it's not fair, that's all I was trying to say.
