I don't mean to go off on a rant but Jack Sparrow is exceptionally effeminate in his mannerisms. Johnny Depp claims his character was inspired by Keith Richards but he seems to be doing a bad impersonation of Little Richard. Why does he keep mincing about like a flaming drag queen? What's with the eye makeup and exaggerated hand gestures? I don't know if Jack Sparrow is gay, but he would have been a perfect fit for the Village People on stage with the biker, cop, construction worker, sailor and Indian chief.

That is the reason I hate the POTC movies. I only watched the first one and thought it was fucking horrible. Johnny Depps overacting is horrendous.

And here I thought I was the only one who didn't like the POTC movies and I have seen them all. I thought that the last one was better than 2, but it still wasn't good. The only person I hated more than Johnny Depp in this one was Keith Richards.

He said he intentionally acted a bit femme to make the character a little more "charasmatic" in an interview around the time of the first one.

i call him an ass pounding seaman all the time. he lets me shoot his machine gun... oooooo (he's on the local swat team) every time i say it i get the 1000yd stare
