i agree w reaper g - for her leadership and fundamental skills. but a few friday/saturday nights on the line at an upscale steakhouse would sharpen her natural skills. i am sure she can deal with customers though... you ever been at a wafflehouse at 3am saturday morning? they're all animals and tramps.

Tongue - any kosher deli - actually not bad if you don't watch where they slice it from
Tripe - common ingredient/dish in many types of cooking. Andouille sausage, fried (South), used in tacos (South West), Haggis, etc.
Pig's feet -south, asian

You get the idea. Many of these ingredients are not uncommon in French restaurants. Except for the stomache, I've eaten everything that was on that platter. And I've had scrapple, so i don't doubt that I ate stomache as well.

I'm sure a lot of those chefs are pretty good, you have to remember it's a Fox reality show. The chefs are woken up early, they run around all day with some challenge, then prepping themselves, then cooking all night, it's exhausting.

Filming those two teams for around six hours with a dozen cameras watching every move it's really easy to catch every chef there make a mistake. A producer tells Ramsey someone messed up, then he can go push their buttons, get them upset, then they fuck up even more, it's pretty fucking genius.

Just glancing at it onthe TV, it all looked just boiled, which would make it a lot worse than if it was seasoned or included in a recipe the proper way

Also, what I did not know until a few weeks ago, was that the actual restaurant is a studio lot that has been redesigned. Also, there are speakers all throughout the restaurant, and during dinner service, they turn the speakers on at certain times, so the customers can hear what is going on in the kitchen. Everyone who eats there, is either an employee of FOX, a friend of an employee, or someone who was invited by people at fox. I thought they just sent out random invitations, but I was wrong. You have to get an invitation from FOX studios to go to dinner there.

I agree the ingredients themselves weren't that uncommon. Most of them are actually in haggis (heart and liver plus the stomach its in) plus lungs, which were not featured and would be considered more unusual than the rest of the stuff.

I agree that the seasoning if any looked lacking, but if they are chefs, they should be trying stuff in is most pure (raw or cooked) form, so that they know what they're cooking with. You should never serve something that you haven't tasted and experimented with.

I had no idea about the guests being ringers. That changes my perception of it. I really thought it was random invites of local wallets (wealthy locals), so as to promote attendance at other kitchens of his.

She does get demolished a lot. She's kind of new to cooking in a restaurant, she graduated from a fancy culinary school and has only been a personal chef for wealthy families. But we are also only seeing like 15 minutes of meal time spliced together from a dozen cameras taping for over six hours.

from the last two season I think Ramsay really values leadership and Rock hasn't had that many good character moments on the show. He kind of reminds me of Keith from Season 2, great cooks, but they have bad attitutes, to some degree. Rock just couldn't deal with losing that challenge, he snapped back at Ramsay, and you saw Ramsay take a kind of mental note.

I know Rock is supposed to win in that spoiler they released, but I don't know if he's going to win at this point, especially after seeing the sneak peek for next week.

Supposedly, the show was very edited to make Julia look more competent than she was. I'm sure she's a great person and is a great short order cook and had speed for simple tasks, but that is about all she had, from what I hear.

Bonnie has the opposite, she has an advanced culinary background, but zero speed, trust me I've gotten stuck with her baking cupcakes at my place while we watched nearly the entire first season of "The Adventures of Pete and Pete" seriously it took like four hours, for fucking cupcakes.

They finished taping this show six months ago, they had a long time to edit people to look how they wanted them to. Sure Bonnie made tons of mistakes that we've all seen but so did Julia, they just didn't show as many of those.
