Being in the CBS studios the whole time is effecting the show. Sometimes they seem to forget that they're not actually on CBS, and hold back with the language. CBS has conditioned them well.

They need to get ratings before they can flex their muscles with Tom and CBS. With that being said, I would be very surprised if that good egg was not at least topless through that whole bitchfest (c'mon Opie's voice was dripping with sarcasm when he said "I just want to make it clear that we are not looking at a naked girl"). Once they start consistently pulling 6's in the ratings, they will start getting more flexibility.

With all that being said, I would not be surprised if the whole "Tom is a big fat meany" isn't partly a gag. When Manielli was there, he was the bad guy, now that he is gone it is more focused on Tom. Radio personalities have always played the part of the poor persecuted hosts. Howard did it when he was at KROK, now it is O&A's turn to do it. Just a thought.
