Tonight's 5pm episode of Hardball on MSNBC brought that network to a new low. Not only did they have a highly partisan politician sit in for Chris Matthews, but they chose Al Sharpton to be that guest host. At times he referred to "us" and "we" when referring to the Democratic party. Heck, he ran for President in 2004. That's the best the could come up with?

Way to go MSNBC. Not only did you put in a guest host that was incapable of handling the news that came across his desk during the hour, but you chose to use one that has a criminial past full of controversies and is openly partisan in his political stance on the issues. Absurd.

I only watched the first two minutes but it was fun watching him read from the teleprompt very very slowly

chris matthews appears very desperate for any bump in ratings. you could see he was disgusted with himself before during and after the anne coulter thing last week. he follows it up with hitchens and shartpon debating religion. neither shows are wrong to have done, you can just tell hed rather not do them but needs to

MSNBC is trying to give the illusion of racial harmony which is why most of the imitation Imus shows in the morning have both a black & white person. It's their version of Fair & Balanced.

So - did Sharpton have a white person sitting in as his co-host? Granted Matthews flies solo but I'm just asking.

The best part of last nights hardball was when they had the breaking news about Scooter Libby. Al had no idea what to say since that wasn't part of his 1 hour script. Then I noticed that on the 7pm Hardball episode they went live with coverage about Scooter and they had to have a new host and Al was no where to be found. They needed a desiginated host when Al Sharpton is on just in case some breaking news happens. Chris Mathews host hard ball=1 host. Al Sharpton hosts hardball= 2 hosts. Him and a backup for real news.

I think it's hilarious. Fuck MSNBC, they're getting exactly what they deserve. I hope Rev. Al and the nignogs turn their lobby into another Hot97 with shootings and all that good stuff. Spineless douches.

sharpton was supposed to be on today as well, but Chris Mathews was on. Mathews wasn't going to return until thurs. I guess they realized this was a bad idea and need a real host. I would agree that Fox news is better, but I can't believe Hannity and Colmes had to interview the ultimate warrior. It looked like an snl sketch. Hannity looked almost as embarassed as he did when he had mancow on. Somebody else had to have seen this mess. O&A have to get the warrior on.
