Just a guess here, but I'd say that Keith has reached the end of his rope......as much of a tool as he is, he really lays into Bush on the Libby pardon.

If Libby really is guilty... all he did was reveal a CIA agent's name. She wasn't even deep cover... but irregardless... she wasn't put in danger, she's not dead, etc etc etc.

The fact that Olbermann and the left are getting so worked up over THIS... when there's so many other things they could be getting worked up over... just proves that all they care about is bashing Bush. It's pathetic. And it's people like him that will ensure the left probably won't win the White House again.

Seriously, there's a handful of other MORE IMPORTANT issues he can be ripping Bush over. But he chooses this one? And it's especially hypocritical for the left to rip him on a pardon issue. Does anyone remember the hundreds of pardons Clinton issued just before leaving office? And weren't some of those personal friends involved in the Clinton's private business failures? At least this "pardon" (really a commutation) was based on a governmental issue.

Agreed on alot of what you said. But, it's common practice for outgoing Presidents to cause outrage with last minute pardons, so it's not just Clinton. Bush I, Reagan, Carter, Ford, they all were guilty of this. I disagree with Olbermann on his comparison, as well. Bush's commutation is more similar to Ford's pardoning of Nixon once he took office.

I'm no I don't really give a shit aside from being slightly annoyed at the left for always getting SOOO pissed at anything Bush does. But thought this puts it into perspective. Wonder how many pardons Bush will give once before he's out the door?

Clinton in 2001: On Jan. 20, 2001, I granted 140 pardons and issued 36 commutations. During my presidency, I issued a total of approximately 450 pardons and commutations, compared to 406 issued by President Reagan during his two terms. During his four years, President Carter issued 566 pardons and commutations, while in the same length of time President Bush [senior] granted 77. President Ford issued 409 during the slightly more than two years he was president.

Who'd a thunk it, a self-important douche got in front of a camera and complained about the president. Gotta love the hypocrisy of Hillary whining about the commutation of Libby's sentence.

I don't think he had anything to do with the actual revealing of her name. But it's treason to do it. She wasn't in deep cover, but she tracked loose nukes and nuclear material, setting that area of the CIA back 20 years at a time when every Allah fearing scumbag is trying to get their hands on the shit. Danger or not, it was a crfime for whoever did it to do it.

He made some good points, but to be honest he has never been a fan of Bush anyway.

that's kind of like saying Hitler was never really a fan of Jews. Olberman despises all thing Bush-like.

I like Olbermann because he gets so heated. It's just funny to watch because we all know he can't change anything by hosting a cable news show.

But for the real subject at hand. I think the "left" should be outraged at this all but said pardon. What the executive office did was leak an undercover agents name. It's a federal offense. Libby basically jumped on the grenade so no one else (perhaps higher up) would get any blow back.

Then Bush's commutates the sentence of someone who worked for him. It kinda doesn't look good from any angle. It almost looks as if Bush said "good job by not talking", especially not letting appeals run its course.

I don't think Bush went about this the right way to save face with the America public and more people should be outright upset at this.

I really want to know what happened. Were we tricked into war? Is there a massive cover up? We now have to wait 50 years to find out because Libby didn't say a word.
