I tried Paltalk, twice. I watched the live room a handful of times because I dont get up early.

During the night it's the same 5 people talking and dominating the room.

My only memorable Paltalk experiences is when DangerG showed up, and when DJNewStyle and the other guy (Monaco? or something) rip on people. They are the only funny and entertaining ones in the room. If you're not in the 'in crowd' you're just listening.

I know that because I'm primarily a FBA poster my opinion won't be taken seriously. But I see a number of threads like this and feel that as a fan room admin I should respond.

I have no idea what happened, as I was not there. I have attempted to ask Glenn for details, but like other times I've tried to intervene I'm told it's "not worth it".

People do not get bounced just because they're from this message board. I have never done it, and have never seen it. (I'm not saying, though, that it's never happened.) Yes, there are some people that will throw out some sarcastic lines when somebody identifies themselves as a WB'er. But that's nothing but ball-busting, which we all do or deal with to some extent. Some of my favorite fan room people are from this board...and some of my least favorite. The same with FBA, STI, FTB, and the seemingly dozens of other boards that have popped up in recent months.

I'm also not one of those that live on Paltalk. It's background noise for me at work, and something to do outside of work when there's nothing else going on in my life. There are times that I enjoy myself, and others that I log out in disgust within a few minutes. Again, just like anywhere else, there are cool people and there are asses. That's why I refuse to take it seriously.

Who does get bounced? Primarily jackers, Arabs, insult room idiots, creeps looking for online hookups, unknowns who take the mic to play awful music, people with bad mics who won't take our suggestion to go to the help room, etc. Sometimes unknowns who continuously take the mic to do nothing but yell at people also get the boot. But never just because of a board affiliation.

Mistakes do happen, though. That's one of the reasons the opening message you see is to put at least one admin on your friends list. If you're bounced for no reason, contact me and at the very least I'll find out what the story is.

I'll be at the PNC show, and I'm hoping to meet people from all the boards.

i just saw grem in there yesterday so i think hes good now. he had a black name, that may have played a part. put an admin on your pal list grem that way if it happens again you can get right back in. the admins dont bounce you if they know your a fan, unless your a real douche.
