I think it's Fox making fun of themselves, that's all. It seems pretty simple to me.

True. Fox has always been the butt of jokes on the Simpsons and I'm
sure they love it considering how much of a cash cow the show is.

the simpsons started the whole bash on your network thing and the reason was to avoid lawsuits. from other broadcasting companies. i hate when people try to read to far into things
