on a serious note, I have seen dave drunk and its not that bad. So the guy likes to tie one on at Rnf events and shit, who the fuck doesnt, I havent been sober at any "show" thing either.

most people go to rehab because of a court order, an employer mandate, friends/family interventions, or the person wants to change (hit rock bottom). Many times people feel like they have hit rock bottom because they have done something they feel is reprehensible, or they are shocked at their own behaviors, or because they have had one trip too many to the hospital and have revised their outlook on life.

In ESD's case, shit eating, piss drinking, jelly fucking, beastiality, self multilation and self harm could be considered symptoms of an underlying problem, or just attention seeking behaviors. If it is attention seeking behavior, and he has to continually one up himself, whats next? Other than some form of dismemberment/cutting I can only see him dousing himself in flammable substances and lighting himself on fire. In any case, I am sure it will make great radio.

How so? Casey can't claim ignorance. I knew ESD liked to drink just by listening to the show. Even Ant talked about ESD being hammered at Bar 9 one night. How could one NOT know about Dave's drinking? It's not like he was hiding it. I think he's proud to be a drunk.

1.) Admit you have a problem, this is done by the person with the problem, however for me it took a few outpatient programs that my family made me do to get introduced into the program and once the program was introduced to me it was a lot easier to fall hard and know there was help, to know there are millions out there with the same disease, I then realized I was powerless and reached out saying I would do anything, before this I was bargianing saying i'd do outpatient but no inpatient, a few mtgs a week but not everyday etc...so even if you do outpatient at least AA and NA are in you head= "a belly full of beer and a head full of aa" is not fun

if outpatient works you good as gold,,,however for me it didn't so=

2.) Get your ass into detox whether you think you need to or not, you will lose the "shakes" and be able to sleep, otherwise you will go through the horrors, you will shake, vomit, see "spiders", and just go through a living hell= been there:(

3.) Get into an inpatient program, get educated

4.) Go to meetings, make connections, get a temp sponser

5.) Get a perminent sponser, go through the steps (inventory SUUUUX:icon_mrgr)
go on commitments and spread the word

6.) Get a sponsee and live life ba ba baaaaayby (this is where im at takes time fight through it)

He is in his what late 20's/early 30's. ESD needs to realize you can out with your friends, have a few beers, catch a buzz and not make an ass out of yourself.

yeah; as far as i can tell from listening on XM, thats what i think as well. He is the make-a-scene guy when he goes out for the weekend bender, who hasn't yet caught up with his pushing 30/married life.

He doesn't even occasionally show up unable to function. or call in sick. (and only goes to the Dr when he's gotten food poisoning)
