Sam, the other thing is that there are times when the PC is getting malformed packets from your router that can cause some odd problems - especially Linksys gear. What you may want to try is a different port on the back of the router or if it's wireless, you need to reset the router back to factory - just hold in the reset button on the back for about 10 seconds.

Try pressing and holding numlock for 5 seconds. If that results in no options prompt, or setting adjustment...
Control Panel/keyboard/revert default settings.


Also, if none of that works. Again, check your "FN" button. Hold it down, and touch variously labeled keys associated to the functions.
