I don't think we have any chain burrito places around here... I could be wrong though... because I am mexican and therefore require only freshly prepared mexi goodness....
God I haven't had mexican food in a while... i need to get on this!
I sometimes go to Ole Mole in Stamford CT. It's a mom and pop place but they make Enchiladas Suizas with fresh red corn tortillas that will blow your ass away. Thanks for making me think about mexican now Kev. http://www.wackbag.com/images/smilies/hand.jpg

The best ones around my part of the country are from little mexican stores out on the highways that makes the right in front of you. Or taco wagons that are everywhere. There is a place that just opened about 30 miles from me called Jimboys tacos (http://www.jimboys.com/index2.htm) that is real good. They are from the Sacramento area.

I just got done eating a fucking burrito that was so large it makes me want to vomit. I couldn't even finish my 24oz. beer.
I went by Flying Burrito and picked up a Big Juan deal (comes with a 24oz Coors). Well the kid fucked up the tortilla and he got another one to rewrap it. Well aside from flipping everything onto the new tortilla, he added more shit to it so it was jam packed full of shit.
I thought I was going to throw up at the place but I definitely couldn't finish my beer. I had to throw it away half full :( or I wouldn't have made it. It had to have weighed a good 2 1/2 - 3lbs.

Alberto’s is OK for a chain, but if you are living in So. Cal. Why would you bother? I never heard of any of those other places but I do know that if you live more that 3-4 hours away from Mexico you my be enjoying what you’re eating but it sure as fuck isn’t real Mexican food.

Chipotle is the SHIT. My chick and I eat there 2-3 times a week. It's amazing we're not fat slobs. And I hate chain restaurants.
After trying Chipotle for the first time and falling in love, we've tried all the knockoffs.. Qdoba, Moe's, Mole.. none of them can even compare with Chipotle. Chipotle makes everything fresh right in the store. And they're in the process of converting all ingredients, even the meat, to 100% organic. (some stores already are). Plus they sell beer and margaritas!
We go there so much that everyone there knows our name and they've stopped charging us for the chips and guac we order every time. Damn you now I wish they were open 24 hours...

Chipotle, qdoba, pancharos and others are all the same. They all look the same as far as the building, burritos and menus. They are all just copies of a copy.

Ok, I went to Chipotle at 2 Broadway yesterday and I now understand why Kev started this thread. That fucking thing was great. The spicy shredded beef with rice and cheese and the spicy red chili tomatillo salsa... Outstanding.

5 minutes from my house. It's in the same building as Nathan's. The people at my second job have gone there for lunch a few times. Getting mixed reviews.
