Just remember, that's how O&A started on WNEW. Then....less and less music. Then, almost no music. If this isn;t a one shot, expect R&F to do the same as they start getting ratings.

I have no problems with the "DIALUP" 32kbps version, but the regular 64kbps version has all sorts of audio problems.

I dont see what the point of it was. If CBS plans on bringing them back then why not just bring them back and get rid of the music garbage? And yes... they already have a fan base and Deserve to have a show again but remember KRock is still trying to sell their current rock format.

Of course, I am trying to think in a positive direction. And I do hope this is just a sequence of necessary events leading up to another terrestrial spot for the boys.

And if this means something, ANYTHING, to you at all.... CALL KROCK and voice your opinion. Email, write a letter, send a fax.
Every person can help the situation by showing their support.

It wasn't about the music. They promoed R&F on K-Rock and wanted to see how many people tuned in and how much buzz it got. If there's enough interest generated, they'll give R&F a slot.

I'm assuming Ron and Fez are still being paid by CBS Radio, so they are using them to fill spots til then. Much as everyone likes Ron & Fez, they aren't a PM drive show, especially not for a station like Krock. I could see putting them on later in the evenings on the station, but they belong on a talk station. Krock needs a show like the WAAF version of O&A for their afternoon drive time... something that does play a little music, but with attitude, if they are going to succeed as a Rock station. Kidd Chris comes too mind... I wouldn't listen, but they need something with a little more attitude than Ron and Fez.

Thank you! I never understood why K-crap got rid of the one show that was kicking everyone's butt in the 6-10 time slot. All we ever hear about is how important ratings are, they *finally* get a show that takes ONE book to be #1 in the key demos, and CBS takes them off the air to play more Nirvanna, AC/DC, and other crap that we'ver heard too many times.

Other music stations have shows later in the day. WPLJ has Rocky Allen, and while that's not a true talk format, it's not just a couple of guys spinning the same crappy shit.

I love Ron & Fez but refuse to listen to another "hostile takeover" that is neither hostile nor a take over. They bitch about Earl's depth of play lists...I think K-crap's is even smaller.

The good news is that Krock understands their worth and is trying to find something for them.
The bad news is that the type of show they played yesterday aint it.
I have 2 ideas- have them do a new version of "Fastest hour in Radio" from 9-10am to get the last hour ratings on Krock that O&A need for stronger numbers or put them on from 7-11pm as a talk show and let them do their thing. Later night shows always have talked more and played music less.

This isn't determined until ratings start coming in enough for the station to trend. As for a format they don;t thrive in, it's a start. Then, like O&A on NEW, theyt tweak it to be what works for them and, if the ratings go up, KRock will not say Boo about it.
