I've heard all of them, very funny shit. It's him and Scott Mosier (Snowball from Clerks and his co-producer/editor/everything) but if Mosier isn't around he does it sometimes with his wife Jen, Walt Flanagan, or Bryan Johnson.

He said very early on that he wanted to keep it as low key as possible (just for the hardcores) so he can say whatever the fuck he wants and not be accountable.

The guy is exceedingly honest, and you can tell by how his mind works through these podcasts why he works so well with the boys in studio. I wish i could recommend one of the 25 as a great one but I've enjoyed all of them. It's a great listen for an hour, I let 6 of them build up and saved them for this past vaca week.

I listened to one last night, driving back to Columbus, from BFE Stewart, Ohio.

I hadnt heard of them before (the Smodcast), untill I punched up 202 last night for the drive hoping to catch O&A.

I saw the pad data say Kevin Smith, then I heard Mosier talking about chickens and I knew I was in for an entertainment on the ride home.

anyway.... gonna go check out the history of this smodcast.

Love the Smodcasts, but i have one small criticism/complaint. The aesthetics of the audio make it kind of hard to listen to, especially on headphones. For one, they have a music bed throughout the entire show which can be kind of bothersome. The main thing is that they're speaking voices are pretty subdued, so I have to tweak the volume up to hear what they are talking about, and then when Scott (or god forbid Walt) laughs your eardrums are blown to shit. Not only is Walt's laugh abominable, it is so FUCKING LOUD, its like he gets way in on the mic when he laughs instead of backing off. Will putting compression on the audio help? I feel like i'm constantly riding the volume.

Does this bother anyone else, or am i being a cunt?

i know kev and mos didnt want this to become huge, but still... they are entertaining MF-ers!

i say a weekend stint of :
friday night 11p-3a(set "A"),
sat 8a-12p (set "A" repeat) and 11p-3a (set "B"),
sunday 8a-12p (set "B" repeat) 10p-11p (new ep, if available, if not... random ep)

i'd still DL and listen while i drive.
