You could try the Stress Factory on Wed night... it's a tough room (all comics) bbut nothing beats real mic time. My very first performance was there and I utterly died, but hey.. you have to start somewhere.

The best thing you can ever do is bomb.

A lot of comics say it and it's absolutely true. You'll learn very quickly if you're cut out for it or not. I learned the first night it was something I really wanted to do because it was a total high. Just getting on stage was awesome.... I absolutely ate it and it was one of the best things I ever did.

Give it a shot, man.. *everyone bombs the first time* Just think of this... you'll bomb in front of a larger audience than most comics could ever HOPE to reach.

That's why I don't give a fuck, I'll be nervous, but it'll be the biggest thing I'll have done.

Hey Pinnie I stand on the shoulders of giants with this...though in your case, it's more like a garden gnome but who's measuring. The Pinnster has been a huge help along with hubby in putting together material and giving me feedback. So no matter what, I <3 the Pinnster and of course my baby :)

I just annoyed sam and steve with emails until I heard something back. I was about 10 minutes from being Rupert Pupkin. I was going nuts because I love OnA, I love doing standup and I was dying to get in this time.

Also, I'm not a around-all-the-time guy. The only reason people would really "know" me is from feedbacks and I haven't really done that in a while now because of my new job. I post here, but not everyday... Some people got "preferential" treatment, I guess. I expect that, but if something like a bunch of Kidd Chris comics get on, fans get bumped and they win, I'll probably be pissed.

I know a bunch of comics that I have been on shows with and are friends of mine are going to be on and they're legit fans, they just don't post online.

It's not the first time something like that has happened in standup.
