you can take the LIRR from Penn Station to the Huntington, and then I believe it is like a 5 min cab ride from there.

Yep. You can take the LIRR out there. Take the Port Jefferson LIRR line out to Huntington from Penn Station. It's about 45 min. to an hour and then some depending on how the trains are running that day.

Take it out to Huntington and you can take a cab from the train station to the restaurant (it's about $7 and the ride is only like 10 minutes). Just keep in mind if you stay into the early morning hours, the trains run less frequently back to Penn Station. And remember to tell the cab driver to take you to F.H. Riley's 400 New York Ave. in the heart of Huntington Village :icon_mrgr

I mentioned this a few posts back, the night we went one of my friends had the meatloaf & thought it was really good. Someone had the Jumbo Shrimp which is prepared "scampi" style. I was in the mood for "comfort food" and went with the macaroni & cheese - definitely not Kraft! The three of us split the Mozzarella Tower & Brett pretty much made sure our beers were always fresh. We didn't have room for dessert but from what others have said the cheesecake is outrageous and is made by Holly, Opie's sister (Brett's too obviously). Oh, my meatloaf eating buddy also had Elmo's Blue Claw Gumbo and couldn't stop raving about it the next day at work.

Norton they have have everything from seafood, to pasta, salads, burgers, etc. I'm vegetarian so I have my personal seafood favorites there like the salmon pita sandwich. I love their caesar salad with shrimp, I could go on. Last time I was there for lunch I got an amazing veggie wrap. But so far I have honestly not had anything that wasn't amazing, fresh, etc. I hear the gumbo is fabulous like people here already mentioned. People like the comfort food like the meat loaf and mac & cheese. I hear the seared tuna is excellent. My sister when I brought her down had one of the pasta dishes (I forget which at the moment). Plus the portions are crazy. If you can finish everything, god bless!! But it's also nice because if you can't, you get to bring it home and still tastes amazing the next day.

Vegans don't eat seafood, dairy, etc. I'm VEGETARIAN as in I don't eat MEAT (or poultry, veal, etc) Basically anything with 4 legs. :) I don't tofu and all that shit (god bless people who can make a diet solely of that!) My favorite part of the show is when Gregg Hughes, the actor who plays Opie on the Opie & Anthony Show, starts talking about his brothers and all the great things they've done to help each other out over the years.
