Although I definetly appreciated the O&A shout out (and Jimmy's just upstanding enough to make sure he does it, and he means it), I thought it was badly edited in....

Enjoyed the show...felt like I heard most of it before, which, well, I did, since I'm an avid ONA listener....I really find it amusing that we all bear witness to the development of Jim's act and are like insiders on the deal when we watch these things.

As I and others have posted before, watching a lot of the comedy specials of the frequent ONA comedic guests is difficult, because we hear them riff as regular people, and when we watch this stuff, it seems so staged compared to the off the cuff comments we are treated to all the time.

But yes, the show ruled, Jimmy ruled, and I'm so glad that HBO let him be himself.

I've always felt like Jimmy as a stand-up and Jimmy as a third-mic are two different people. To me, they seem very different. That said, I heartily enjoy both.

I was disappointed to see his "birds are faggots" and "no baby for you!" bits didn't make it in. Those were the funniest to me when I saw him live.

Great show, though. Jimmy should be proud.

I noticed that too. They did the cutaways to edit the show to an hour, but they cut to the crowd too much. Also, some of the cuts were alittle sloppy, like theyd goto the crowd and then jump to jimmy starting a joke. I liked the wide shot cutaway personally, but all in all, it was fine.

I went to the Best Buy in Westbury yesterday. I was there early - around 1 ... they didn't have any. According to the sales clerk, there were supposed to be 3. She was nice enough to check the back but they weren't there either.

I also checked Barnes & Noble in Carle Place - their website said it was available. The store showed they got zero.
