odd, guess word got out that I was giving out Wintergreen Lifesavers...in quick succession say.. 20 min- 30 min I got about 30 high school kids reeking of beer, opting not for the chocolate bowl, but my bowl of Lifesavers.. one of whom, I knew. Guess she didn't know it was my house, she saw me and just looked at the doormat as she dug into the Lifesavers bowl..

I was listening to Mike McConnell on Halloween and he was talking about how ridiculous things have gotten with parents being overprotective. Someone called in to tell him that last year a bunch of kids came to the door and after he gave them the candy they ran to their father who rummaged through the bags and wrote something down & then dumped their bags into another one before sending the kids off to the next home. Curious, the guy went out to the father to find out what he was doing. Turns out, the father was writing down people's addresses and what they gave so that should his kids get sick, he'd know where it came from. :icon_eek:

And then parents wonder why their kids are afraid of their own shadows
