A Family's Nightmare: Accident Photos of Their Beautiful Daughter Released (http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/story?id=3872556&page=1)

Nicole "Nikki" Catsouras was killed in a car accident on Halloween last year. Gruesome photos of the accident scene have spread around the internet, and people have e-mailed the images to Catsouras' family. Her family is suing the California Highway Patrol for allegedly releasing the accident photos.

The parents aren't doing a good job of getting those pictures taken off the interwebs. A link one of you sick fuckers posted 10 months ago (http://wackbag.com/showpost.php?p=1522258&postcount=36) still has the pictures up. :yuck2:

you know what? FUCK THEM, photos of every accident should be posted, if only one kid sees what happens to a human skull when it smashes into a bridge abutment maybe they wont run in to me.

Hate to tell ya, the cops are not the only ones to take photos...when I was an emt, there was always a camera in the rig..and always someone taking pictures at the accident..

Yeah. We do too much to protect kids from the reality of life.

I saw pics of brain splattered people years ago and it definitely
made me think twice about doing stupid shit.

Wait. Drivers Ed doesn't include the "Blood on the Highway" movies anymore?

I’m guessing that wherever these pictures are showing up at the intention is not to warn teenagers of the dangers associated with driving but rather for the voyeurs who enjoy this sort of thing.

I can definitely see the family’s point of view in this. Not only did these lose their daughter (I can't imaging what type of hell that would be) but then they have to deal with people getting their rocks off by looking at what is left of her dead body.

Nikki's three younger sisters were forbidden to use the Internet...

Yeah... go ahead and buy a Porsche for your 18-year-old, but whatever you do, don't let your kids surf the web... it's far too dangerous!

Fuck em, anything that the cops report on and photos that they take are public record. You can request any of that shit if you want.

Maybe their daughter shouldn't have been such a stupid fucking driver.

The car was her father's, and she took it without permission. Having said that, it's beyond me why these dopes didn't just change their email addresses using fake names and only give them out to their closest trusted friends and family. I never even heard about these photos - I don't think it'd be very hard to avoid them while surfing teh interwebs.

I was thinking the very same thing ... but that would be too easy and would mean they'd have to lose their more than 15 minutes in the spotlight.
