The Olsen Twins Special

I have finally done it! I have created the drink worthy of the name "The Olsen Twins Special." Billy Staples told me to post the recipe on ronfez.net, but I thought it wouldn't be fair if I didn't share the weath.... feel free to steal the recipe, just call it by its rightful name.

THE OLSEN TWINS SPECIAL

2 oz Jack Daniels

2 oz club soda

splash of grenadine (this drink begs to be pink)

mix in highball glass with ice. garnish with not one, but two cherries.... they are still underage, you know.

I'm sure it's to avoid a lawsuit by the two chicks. Same reason Dada's Disneyland song was called "Dizz Knee Land". You change some letters around and feign ignorance.

Ibegtodiffer - I don't think its the jack that makes it the Olsen Twins special, I think it is the two cherries, and the grenadine.

I'm talking about how some names and phrases are trademarked, and that the trademark owners can sue for defamation. Mary-Kate & Ashley probably got "Olsen Twins" trademarked, so Jack Daniels made that little change to avoid litigation.

I read the following sentence:

"Why does Jack Daniel's make it the Olson Twin's special?"

The way I comprehended that sentence was:

"Why did Jack Daniel's, maker of fine whiskeys, call this particular recipe the 'Olson Twin's Special' rather than the common spelling 'Olsen Twins Special'"?

I had assumed Jack Daniels Distillery published a recipe booklet for various drinks involving their whiskey, and one of them was, verbatim, the "Olson Twin's Special", submitted by AshleysTheGoer. I thought it was a question involving copyright/trademark laws and the use of celebrity names or trademarked words.

"how does Jack Daniels make it the Olson Twins special." was refering to why using jack in the drink made it seem like "the Olsen Twins special" was an appropriate name for that drink, and the poster just spelled olsen twins wrong, as I'm sure you realize by now.

Let me clear up some stuff here... this wasn't supposed to be a complex post:

a) i was the one who created the drink... my good buddy jack daniels has no copyright infringement problems

b) it's not the jack that makes the drink the "Olsen Twins Special"... it's what's in it with the jack. jack just makes it drinkable.

and...

c) i can't spell "Olsen Twins" because I am a special ed student :rolleyes:
