Do you have a cell phone thats GPS enabled?
I have a Razrv3m ( I know its old, but it still works and has great battery life ) and I use Verizon GPS ( VZW Navigator )
I love it and the bonus side is, I don't have to have any separate equiptment.
You can do a pay once or a monthly fee too.

There are probably a few more under or around $200, but these were a few I found in a couple of minutes. You just missed some great Black Friday deals on GPS systems.
I don't own a portable GPS so I can't give personal recommendations, but I have read good things about the TomTom and the Nuvi 200W.
EDIT: Just found the Garmin Nuvi 200 (non widescreen version) at Walmart for $180 (today only)

Some of us had them, when we were in Iraq; had no issues with the Garmin Models.
There are some downloadable p'ograms that even had the small dirt side roads. Fuckin' crazy shit. Of course it was a li'l gov't run site............or was it?:icon_wink
The Garmin types are dependable though.
