CD-R Suddenly Stopped Burning CDs

Last week I was using my CD burner and it was working fine. Suddenly this week it has stopped burning. I've used several programs and it goes through the entire burning process but when it finishes, it still says my disc is blank. It still reads CDs and DVDs and can even burn onto DVDs. Any idea?

if its an older drive, time to replace it. I had mine do the same thing with dvd's. it would only write cd's. :(

Blu-ray Burner...650.00...do It!!!! Yes. I don't have a Blu-ray player, don't have need for one, and just need something to burn CDs on since I can still burn to DVDs. But $650.00? Mere bag of shells. Thank God I have my fortunes.

Yes, its good to be Op & Ant rich! But yeah...650 for a burner is rediculous...wonder how long it will take till you can get an HD or BR burner for like 50.00 and media is about .30¢ a disc

Like others have said...just get a new burner..for the price, you're better off just getting a CD/DVD burner for liek 30.00 off newegg.
