Rock Band Equiptment Problems

Anyone else have problems with thier Rock Band equiptment? The down strum on the guitar has completly stopped working. From what I have read, this is recognized problem by EA and they are doing warrenty returns. For $169.00 you would think you could expect a little better quality control.

If you do have to replace anything covered by warrenty, do it within 60 days of the purchase. Replacement guitars are going for $125.00.

Overall, I still love this game. The small details like putting your created character in the load screens just does it for me. I loved the GH series and I don't mean to shit on it, because I had a blast playing them, but Rock Band really does make GH look like a Fisher Price game.

Well of course I meant the video game and not an actual band. Thats why I posted in the "Computers and Gaming" forum and not the music forum. Are you stupid or something?

I am so fucking glad that NFL players don't act like this over Madden the way these "real musician" douchebags act over a game that simulates what they do. I'm guessing the ones that shit all over GH and Rock Band games, tried playing, suck, and therefore bash it.

The drum pedal busted on my friend's copy. Really cheaply made, and poorly engineered. The guitar busted after about a week, and he's just using a GH2 Xplorer instead.

my buddy's guitar had the same problem on Day 2 of using it. good thing they had 2 GH3 guitars we used instead. and the drums broke on Day 4 playing it. So the replacement guitar came in the mail after like 2 weeks. and the drums still arent there.

Your problems are the norm for Rockband. Broken down strums. pedals, and drum pads (especially red) are very common. Check out the Rockband forums for some fixes and general discussion on the game's problems.
I was going to buy it on day one, but it just seems like they released in too early, with no quality control. :arrrh:

Damnit, my guitar started acting weird yesterday and my pedal broke a hour ago. I have the BB replacement plan, but I doubt I'll be able to find any 360 copies in stock 4 days before xmas. At least it'll be easier to get than guitar hero.

I can't get enough of them. I might as well glue the dvd-tray shut with the rock band disc in there. A lot of fun too when you have 4 people playing.

they are aware of the problem. We have a whole pile of guitars that have gone bad while we beta tested it. The drum pads are being worked on too. We really beat the shit out of the whole kit! A fix is on the horizon.
