Game(s) of the Year thread

I thought this would be a good place to discuss some of the better titles this year, and what people overall felt was their particular game of the year. And also to criticize what game sites felt was theirs.

the game i enjoyed probably more than any other as far as plot and action was God of War 2, then maybe bioshock and mass effect.

IGN wont announce their overall until january, but here's their games of the year for each platform
God of War 2(ps2), Uncharted(ps3), Call of Duty 4(360), Super Mario Galaxy(wii), Bioshock(pc)

Gamespot's GOTY video was available for download for awhile, they already named Mario Galaxy GOTY.

Galaxy is mine, followed by Orange Box (mostly for TF2) and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.

Because it contains old games. If the Orange Box is nominated then C&C The First Decade should count. The only game that should count for Game of the Years is HL2 and it already was nominated around 3 years ago. Not that it isn't a great collection of games it just isn't a single game.

HL2 Ep2 and TF2 more than qualify the Orange Box for game of the year.

2 weeks ago I wouldnt have argued that Super Mario was the game of the year. Then I got a Playstation 3 and havent put down CoD4 which kinda sucks cause I thought Mario was the shit.
