Check out this link to a recording (11 minutes) of the couple being caught in St. Pat's - Mercurio taunting the security people - the boys not realizing the seriousness of the situation yet

Paul Mercurio is such a complete ass - his ego led to the firing of O & A - if he had backed off the security guard in the church and not been a dick about it, we'd still be listening to O & A today.

I hope Mercurio rots in his own piss.

He's on tonights Tough Crowd. My boyfriend thinks he's funny but I refuse to watch him tonight--a sort of boycott of all things Mercurio.

Yeah I'll be sure to miss that one. I wished one of the arresting officers had anally ----- him with a baton.

I will be watching it... because of the show, not because of him. He stinks anyway...

Your all entitled to your opinion. But, I do not put all the blame on Paul. He was in the wrong place, and you have to say he was really trying to win the contest! I know he went on and on when he should have shut his face, but he has gone the distance for the show on more than one occasion, let's not forget:
Kathleen, put your God damn clothes back on!!!
I do not hate him for that fateful day. Furthermore, I would not be surprised if he is a guest on O & A's first show back on the air.

Ahhhhh the voice of reason!
I totally agree with you Mav.....did he go to far? Maybe. Would anyone else have done the same thing as he did? Probably. Would Norton have "let it go" if he were in that position? Probably not.
I think he will be on the Return Show!

Althought it is debatable that it may or may not have been his fault that things escalated to the point of the boys being fired, I can't watch him because I do associate him with the boys being fired. (I hope that made sense :))

You can't put it all on Paul's back. He did what he thought
was necessary. Bad call, yeah, but I still like him.

All I have to say about it is he was trying to go the distance, but it was actually too far.

About him being the first guest when the show comes back, not gonna happen the first guest will have to be Brian Regan.

Hey I think I've read this thread before almost a year ago.

He really hammed it up like nobody else would. Norton would not have been trying to get arrested, he would have been disgusted with the whole thing and shut up to officials. Mercurio was looking to put on a big production---it worked. I wasn't his FAULT but he really put his fair share into it spiraling out of control.

Oh one more thing-- in Norton's interview he said when asked about Mercurio--who??? That says it all--there is clearly resentment and I would doubt he is a guest again.

No, I don't think it is resentment. I think at this point Paul Mercurio is an infamous name to anyone involved in the St. Patrick's day sex parade. Nobody wants that cult Catholic league on their ass! Especially that fecal freak looking Norton! Luv ya, Jim! Chuckle, chuckle, elbow, elbow, and a peaking grin!

Paul provided Great radio. who the hell will ever forget that show? not a damn one of us. We all were glued as the Crap hit the fan, and not a one turned out. No one figured it would lead to what it led to. Paul gave the show what he always gave them. But Fuck him for taken it to that point.
With that said it was still good radio. I don't think he ment it, or that it was his fault. It's just that shit happens, and shit realy happened from that day on.

(edited in)seeing him on Tough Crowd, is that the way he looked all the time, or is he anerexic (realy spelled wrong) or dose he have aids? Damn he is thin. Skeletor has more meat on him then paul dose

Kathleen, put your God damn clothes back on!!!

First and foremost, those 8 words = life time exemption for Paul the producer... ;) I have no doubt that like the boys, HE'LL BE BACK... and agree w/MAV. I think that he is guest #1.

To the best that I can remember, when things started to got bad, the bbboys told paul to argue with them, and egged him on... he just took the ball and ran with it.

Unfortunately, it ended the way it did, and we all have to suffer :(

Believe me....Paul is NOT going to be back on the show. All he did before (Kathleen, put your goddamn clothes back on!) and the SFS3 idiocy with the security and cops was all an effort by Paul to get his name out and that alone. The difference between him and others who contributed about the show was he could give two shits about anything else but getting his name out there. I am not saying he is 100% to blame, but he put himself in front of the show and made a bad situation worse.

And as for Norton saying "who?" when asked about Paul, why would Norton give a shit what the Catholic League said or tried to do to him???
