You gotta admit, though, the Aztec isn't exactly a pretty vehicle. Functional as hell, sure, but it's ugly as fuck. Avalanches are at least cool looking

Datsun B210 is indestructable. When we were 16 my bud back then had a canary yellow beater, i think he paid $400 for ti back then and we proceded to beat the ever living shit out that car. The came with a full under carriage skid plate and that thing just bounced off anythinig. One time we were sailing up one of those popular back road for teens after 11PM at night cause there were never cops there and we were in no condition to be driving as it was. When he whips the wheel and cuts into a parking lot cause a buddy passed us going the other way and he slammed on his breaks. My buddy missed the turn, hits the metal pole that had a two foot concrete base into the ground. when the pole laid over the concrete came up and launched us into the air from dead center in the middle of the body. we started screaming and then slammed into the grass on all fours then started to slide up the embankment and then the car reached just to the point of almost rolling over and he whips the wheel downhill, smashes the gas and we spin off the hill sideways and pulled a 360 in the wet grass. The whole thing took probably less then three seconds, but we were in laughing out asses off then we burned a big fatty with Dave and Jeremy, the two guys in the other car that passed us, then Jeff pulls in 5 minutes later on his way home, burned another. Then here comes Gary andn Jack in the big old wagon and we burned anoth..... oh yeah, back to the car. Datsun B-210's are the bomb.

But still, this list sucks. There have been far uglier pieces of shit on the road than some of the ones on this list.

I am going to agree while disagreeing.
The Aztek is not an ugly vehicle.
However, I can see why people think its ugly.
Its a polarizing look. A Very distinct and unique looking vehicle that came at a time where GM was being heavily critisized for not trying anything new... and then when the Aztek came out, people were still very critical.
However, i would say of American cars made in the past 15 years, few regular (non sports cars) cars have as loyal a following as the Aztek. Those that have had them absolutely love them- ugly or not.
I also think the Aztek came about about 3 years before it should of... first off, the look was improved after the first model years, but the public perception of the looks was already damaged. The 2nd model year and beyond no longer had the gray plastic cladding, the wheel size was increased, and a spoiler was added. Also, it for all intents and purposes was one of the 1st "crossovers" although it may not be techinically true- it was on a MiniVan platform, not a truck platform (a technical crossover is on a car platform). But ulitmately, it worked as a crossover- and came out years ahead of other popular vehicles of similar utility- the Edge, the Murano, the Equinox, etc.

Avalanche is a good truck. I have loaded a ton of furniture in the back of an Avalanche. I have the Mini Avalanch, aka Honda Ridgeline. My Ridgeline is a fucking tank. It handles the ice and snow like its nothing, takes turns like a sports can and is not bad on the eyes either. It will pass american v8 trucks while towing a car behind it like its nothing. Its not the prettiest vehicle, but is baller in its own right. I love my truck. Honda hired Chevy's lead designer a few years back and the Ridgline is what he wanted to do with the Avalanche but Chevy wouldnt let him. That truck has won a ton of awards and now Honda has some of the most progessive designs in vehicles now. The new Accord coupe looks fucking amazing.
I had some clients, and they had both the Baja and Aztec. I just kept thinking that they were into unique shit. But damn, they picked the ugliest cars out.

I don't like my toaster on wheels... I LOVE IT.
When I first got mine, there weren't many on the road, so anytime one of my friends or family would see one in my color, they assumed it was me. Now, they are a lot more common.
Honestly, looks aside, most useful car I have ever owned. Comfortable, handles well, decent mpg. Has more cargo room than the Explorer I owned before it. Great for camping - the seats fold down into beds.

Sick. The amount of work that went into laying out on 30's deserves respect regardless whether or not you like how it looks. Most people dont realize that you dont drive it while its layed out. It probably has a decent amount of lift.
